If someone swears in the name of Allah he will never do this bad thing again (e.g cursing masturbating, stealing, drinking etc.), but he still does it, what is the ruling if he seeks forgiveness? I have asked a different question about this and they all say for recompensation, free a Muslim slave, feed 10 poor people or clothing them, and if you can't do this, fast for three days and seek forgiveness.
What I'm really saying is do these recompensation acts must be done for each time he breaks it or as a whole?
Help me, guys. I did something bad and I swore in the name of Allah I will never do it again, but I have repeated it many times. Please, do I recompense for each act or as a whole? I really didn't mean to do it and I am afraid, I seek Allah S.W.T's forgiveness. Please, help me.

just do it once wallah a'lam.
PROOF: a non-muslim or a muslim have not prayed since 15 years ago (& he was adult all this period); shd he pray 15 years* 365 days* 5 prays per day = about 30000prays??!!!!!!!!!
of course NO; just repent to allah & open a new page, keep asking his forgiveness & DONT WASTE ANY PRAY FROM THIS POINT OF HIS LIFE so long as he can, otherwise, he will b kidding in his repent.
about sins in the past; i swear that repent is enough. repent is 4 steps:
1. feeling sorry for the sin
2. intention of no return to such sin
3. Istigfar (asking forgiveness of God).
4. re-pay others things (if present) & if possible. i heard this from Sheikh Amr Khalid & others. but ur problem with swearing could b solved by ONCE feeding, ... or fasting wallah a'lam.
God may forgive both of us
peace
EDIT: brother Mohammad a's answer is perfect also.

Good notion. Also, even as at the discipline of petitions, how approximately getting Muslims and any person else considering humanitarian problems to signal petitions which can be to give up acts of aggression or oppression that's taking place proper now to Muslims, comparable to the ones in languishing in Guantanamo, Israeli jails or different locations of rot. Don't you consider that could be a well notion, if you're considering accumulating signatures for petitions. Enjoining well and forbidding evil brings truly peace to all finally.

Dear Ahmad
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah
For God Sake please do not advertise mean do not keep telling about your wrong doings to every one. In this case Yahoo Answers, because any one can see your statement.
It is proved by different Ahaadeeth sayings of Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, that a personal sin as long as it is not exposed by the party who committed that sin or the party affected by that sin does not know and does not complaint against the person to the authority, no punishment can be imposed on the person committing the sins.
Once a lady approached Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam and said that she committed adultry. Rasoolullah sallalahu alaihi wasallam did not pay attention and agnored her. Again that lady said the same to rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam and he said might be you did not actually committed that act fully ity might be half way. But the lady insisted that she committed it fully. Then Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ordered that the lady has to be stoned to death as she was married and still committted Adultry. After that lady was stoned drops of blood fell on a Sahabi raziallahu anh and he cursed her. Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said to that sahabi; Do not curse her, She is pardoned by Allah and she will go to Jannah. Subhanallah.
Dear, that sort of punishment is obligatory only in the case it is an Islamic Rule prevailing in the place you are living. Now is that there is no Islamic rule any where. You Just repent honestly to Allah for your wrong doings and He is the Most Forgiving and Benevolent He shall forgive your Sins Inshallah.
Regarding Drinking, it is personal matter. You harmed yourself, so just repent for your sin sincerely not to drink again in life.
Regarding Masturbating; again you have harmed your ownself. So again repent sincerely to Allah and stop doing it again. If you are not mnarried, marry as early as possible to avoid it. Fast if you cannot afford to marry owing to your financial condition.
Regarding theft; Pleasae give back the same to the party from whom you have stolen. if the party is not known or not living, give the same amount to his / her children, if not there then in Charity. That is how your sin could be nullified.
Brother, telling others about your sin constitutes one more sin and sins. Avoid it. Keep your matters in private with Allah or just ask a responsible religious person or your parents and do not tell others publicly.
May Allah Bless you and Forgive all your sins and my Sins. Aameen.

Perform Wudhu and perform two Rakaats of Salaat with the intention of Salaat al-Tawbah (Salaat of forgiveness) and thereafter make du’aa with utmost regret and remorse and ask Allah to forgive you. Also give some Sadaqah. Insha Allah, Allah will forgive you. In future, do not take oaths that you will not commit the sin again. Rather, beg of Allah to save you from that sin.
and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

For every problem there is a solution. Human being errs. Allah loves those who erred mistakenly and repents. If all of us were not sinners Allah will destroy and bring a nation that sins and repents. Iblees the Satan committed a sin and Adam also committed a sin. Iblees supported his action and stood in pride while Adam humbled and repented to Allah for his sins. So don't disclose that you have sinned. Pray and be sincere. May Allah keep our sins secret in this world and hereafter as He kept secret here. Never disclose. It shows you have great faith in Allah. A believer is scarred of sins and assumes as a mountain above his head. A hypocrite is not serious of sins and takes them as a fly above his head. Sins are serious but don't be depressed in the Mercy of Allah. Take oath and not swear in the name of Allah. Assallam mu alaikom.
It depend if you had Nazar ( promise to fulfil ) then U need to carry out eg. if U promise if I could stop this habit, I will fast for ....days. Then U have to fulfil, but , if U don't there is no necessity for U to recompensate anything. It is enough for U to perform the solat sunat Taubat and beg forgiveness from Allah swt. Insya'allah Allah swt will forgive U.
Wabillah hi taufiq walhidayat.
Wassallam mu alaikom.

See, no help from Allah or his friends. Try confessing that sin to Jesus and accepting His forgiveness. The sin may repeat but you will know where to take your remorse and not have to ask a bunch of guys that would just as soon cut off your head as be bothered with your problems.

For Allah's sake Sayyid Ahmad,
Please stop swearing in Allah's name. Its enough if you intend to do or not to do something, to just make it in your heart, without swearing to do this or that in Allah's name.
Its more advisable and better for you, if you still want to invoke Allah's name, to say insyaAllah and have it in your heart that you will or will not do something only by the will of Allah.
Wallahu a'lam
