It's a secret thing that McD's guards closely and is only available from their central distribution centers for the franchises. However, my husband makes an excellent knock off of those McMuffins and he uses Jimmy Dean sausage.

The sausage patties used at McDonalds are precooked and frozen. If you live on the east coast, try the brand
Smithfield® brand Restaurant Style sausage patties.
the ingrediants in the McDonalds Sausage Patty: Pork, Water, salt, sage, spices, corn syrup solids, dextrose, sugar, pepper, monosodium glutamate, flavorings, BHA propyl gallate, citric acid.

you need to talk with a shop manager or franchise owner with a $100 bill on your ear and ask if they can fudge the wholesale records to cover the back door swindle
OR try the local frozen food storage plant.
For just as illegal set-up.
But I can but chicken tenders they sell at the mini mart.
with no problem.
But for your info I swear it is Jimmy Dean

I doubt you will find anyplace that will sell it to you. McD's has contracts with its food providers that can not be broken. It would be copyright infringment to sell anything that tastes exactly like McD's without their permission. As for anyplace that sells something similar, I have no earthly idea.

You can't buy it. The recipe is proprietary and is made by a licensed company here is Illinois and at other distribution centers around the world. They guard their recipes very closely and do not license their products to the consumer or retail market.
McDonald Corp is a client of mine in Oakbrook, IL.
