Obviously "Hell" means something other than everlasting torment because the Bible says in Acts 2:25-27 that Jesus was there.

"David speaketh concerning him [Jesus Christ], . . . Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption." King James Version

The word "hell" is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read "the grave," "the world of the dead," and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered "hell"; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. Those words are the Hebrew she'ohl´ and its Greek equivalent hai´des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but TO THE COMMON GRAVE OF DEAD MANKIND.

That is why in Rev. 20:13, 14, HELL ITSELF is cast into the lake of fire: "The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." KJV

(So we see here that the dead will be delivered FROM hell. Also,we notice that hell is not the same as the lake of fire but WILL ALSO BE cast into the lake of fire.)

Eccl. 9:5 says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all.

Christians have debated the form of hell throughout the centuries. Some consider the descriptions in Revelations (and elsewhere) to be literal, others consider those descriptions to be allegorical, but none of us consider hell to be that cartoonish place with little guys in red pajamas and rubber pitchforks.

It's not someplace you want to be.

It also isn't someplace that God "sends" anyone. Many theologians believe that hell is simply the end result of an eternity without God. C.S. Lewis wrote a wonderful description of this in the book "The Great Divorce", which I strongly recommend.

There is little doubt that some people will refuse to follow God, regardless of the circumstances. They would rather be the absolute ruler of their own lives than be happy and serve another.

In the end, Heaven is when man tells God "Thy will be done". Hell is when God tells a man "thy will be done".

Yes I believe hell is a literal place where those who have not accepted Christ will be separated from God.
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

"The devil, who deceived them, was cast into THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE where the beast and the false prophet are, and THEY WILL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOREVER AND EVER.
Then, I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each according to his works.
Then Death and Hades were CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH. AND ANYONE NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE." Rev. 20:10-15

Do I actually believe there is a burning Hell?? Yes!! Because the Bible says there is.

I don't know if the Bible means "Fire Of Hell" as symbolic or literally speaking. There is alot of symbology in the Bible especially in Revelations. But I have always thought it was a burning fire where the damned will burn for all eternity.

Yes and I am supported by Matthew 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother without cause will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, (An Aramaic term of contempt) ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
