Please dont try to argue that one group is more responsible than the other thier is plenty of blame to go around. Why is it so hard to just have a basic level of respect for other points of views other than youre own? We all can argue whatever we want but the only truth is that niether side can prove that they are right.

Well, when you have critics joining in, you will always have heated arguments.
What good is a belief without a critic or an unbeliever?
They are the reason this section gets out of control.
You have to be blind not to see the insulting questions and personal attacks.

If you study history, you will see that conflicts have risen over differences of religion since the beginning of settled society. The reason there is so much hate is because every side thinks they are right and no side is willing to give even an inch. Even if the true answer was given to us about the afterlife, there would still be people fighting over and discrediting the truth. A lot of blood has been spilled over these issues throughout history and a lot more will be spilled in the future unfortunately.

I do have respect for others. But take a look at history-- a lot of serious conflicts have arizen on the subject of religion alone. Look how many deaths religion has caused. That's because most religions teach that they're the only right way, and any others are of Satan (or any other evil diety).
It will always be this way until religions start to teach tolerance. I like being Agnostic-- I can't say any of us are right and I don't feel the need to attack because I believe I'm right.
Peace.

Yes, it is very disturbing. I raised two wonderful children on three simple rules:
~ Try your best
~ Treat others with respect
~ Tell the truth as best you know it.
Many, many people submitting ideas to this forum do not seem to be following any one of these three precepts, much less all three of them.
I find I have to go through 10 questions before answering one, and then I am often turned off by the answers of others to the same question.

The further mankind gets from God, the more evil he becomes.
God destroyed mankind once by flood with the exception of eight. He did so because there was no good in men with the exception of eight.
As we near the time spoken of in the bible as the tribulation period, it is easy to see how these events will come to pass.
The bible talks of a man, a type of man that was, was not, and yet shall be. It is referring to men who once lived upon this earth, then did not live, and then will live again.
What it is saying is that the type of man that did only evil was removed from off the face of the earth because there was no good in them. And for a time, this type of man was not one the face of the earth.
Yet, because of man's love for sin, he again has evolved into a type of man that knows only evil, and has only evil thoughts.
That is how it is so easy to see we are nearing the time known as the tribulation period.
Again, those men who know only evil will be destroyed from the face of the earth by the brightness of the coming of the Lord.

Well, you can dismiss it, but the fact remains that I have not seen hatred displayed by atheists. If you would like...I could show you some choice emails I've received from Christians who hate me and would probably like to kill me because of my stating my point of view on here. I respect those who respect me. But I do not give respect automatically because we are discussing religion.

It really doesn't bother me at all, as a professional councillor I deal with this kind of insanity everyday, what really interests me is the religious fanatics on here from all denominations, I used to think that our young adults had more intelligence regarding religion, but they have certainly proven me wrong on here.

Only the faint of heart can't take it. If ones ideas are inferior that they resort to insults and name calling then they need to rethink them.
