If the holy ground is so holy, then why have there been so many bloodshed over many centuries?

To all of you religious zombies out there, does it occur to you that you have been tricked by demons so we can shed each other's blood?

Jews have claim rights to this land, Muslims also claim rights to this land, Christians also claim rights to this land. They are all convinced that their god tell them it is rightfully theirs.

From my perspective, only one of the users came close enough of what I believe is the true reason behind the bloodshed in the so-called "Holy Land", and it has to do with things far less noble than any religious accounts. It always had to do with simple human greed and lust for power and domination.

A long time ago there it was the Crusaders, Christian knights crossing the Middle East to fight a war against what their leaders made them believe was the new enemy of their beloved God. The Church was just extending its power and trying to vanquish what they saw as a threat to their kingdom in the West. Many men and even some youth and children lost their lives believing in this Holy Crusade.

Of course those leaders where to earn something. Something very material. They used a religious pretext only because it was the most efficient tool of manipulation available at the time. Today, as we see from the Israeli occupation of Palestine and Lebanon, the American occupation of Iraq and so many other war crimes, the tools have considerably changed, but demonizing your enemy still seems to work greatly. All you have to do is turn on the TV. Only an intellectually blind person could possibly accept any religious concept as a feasible justification to any of these acts.

Why does bloodshed ever happen?

Because man is what he is...

The land was Promised to the Jew. It is also by that, the Christians did share the land. For Christ was Jewish Who in turn commissioned His Apostles to go out and convert.
Jesus was not interested in land, so much as hearts.
MANY converted Jews gave up land however; to build up the Church.

The Jews and Christian lived side by side for many years peacefully. Neither claiming the land over the other.

Archeology shows us that coins had both in mind when they were struck.

However; the fight came when Muhammad in the 7th century pillaged and killed to take over the land on his desire for power and vengence against both Christian and Jew.
Read the Quran. It tells his followers 'Be neither friend to Christian or Jew.'
And it speaks of 'ambushing and beheading.'

Muhammad and his men raped and pillaged and conquered.
This is how Muhammad built up his harem. The choicest women of the towns he pillaged.

It was in later years that his followers finally began the crusades. The 11th century I do believe. That date can be retrieved online.

Muslims began Killing the Byzantium empire until the Roman Church involved itself in defense of its Eastern Church.

The Byzantines lost so many men they were nearly wiped out. The Holy Temple of the Jews was built over by Muslims Mosque, even though the Temple was in serious disrepair since 70 AD at the prophecy that when the Christ would come, the Temple would fall. [And it did]

Also the Churches were ransacked and destroyed. The Churches fell, and have not recooped the ancient sites.

There is nothing holy about the land here or in Israel. This land will be destroyed when CHRIST comes back.

History lesson. Israel was renamed Palestine by a Roman General in spite of the Jews. The Palestinians have been rejected by their Muslim brothers and are fighting for this land. It has always belonged to the Jews.

Spiritual lesson. Christians claim to be 'spiritual' children of Israel because we are spiritual seed of Abraham. As stated in the bible. Israel is the land given to Abraham by God the Father.

The Europeans tried (unsuccessfully) to lay claim to the land because the pope promised them salvation (which is blasphemy). The land belongs to the Jews. The Europeans and Muslims have no rights to it.

God said 37 times in the OT that He was putting His Name there.

there has been constant conflict over the land b/c satan wants whatever God has.
it continues to be a conflict between good & evil.

however, if the Jewish people had done as God commanded them in the OT ... to drive out the inhabitants of the land, this problem would not exist. they instead allowed the heathen to share the land w/ them, hence the problem.
God said they "should make no league w/ the inhabitants of the land"... "but they did not obey His voice (judges 2:2).
God then said, "they shall be as thorns in your sides, & their gods shall be a snare unto you."
God said the children of Israel did evil in His sight.

today, if they continue to give up the land in Israel to the Palestinians... they will again be doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

that land will continue to be the issue until the time when Jesus comes back.
even the battle of armageddon will be fought in israel in the valley of jezreel (the megiddo valley).

Christians don't claim anything. only the word of God. the reason why there is bloodshed is because of hatred and lies towards one another. God said his chosen people were the Jews and that is their land. man kicked God aside because of their selfishness and pride.
