I'm a Christian. I've had the same girlfriend for many years, and haven't married her yet (although I eventually will). Very few of my Christian friends my own age are married. Nobody I know really seems to be in a rush, because most of us are trying to finish up our college education first.

I really don't know about guys, but all girls are looking to get married, christian or not. Some churches push marriage more (mormom) because they believe in having alot of children and want to get started. We girls (not all) have this cinderalla theory, which is not even realistic, that being married is going to be so wonderful. Then when you get married and find out how difficult it can be, our thinking changes and then problems arise.

Christians covers a huge amount of people and saying all of them want to get married quickly is wrong because your practically saying there all the same. It's not the religion it's just the persons preference.

I bet it is. The guy must be well frustrated because until they are married the woman wont let him have sex. Trouble is even after marriage they can only have sex for procreation and not for pleasure so hes still not going to get much anyway.

At the end of 2003, an estimated 1,039,000 to 1,185,000 persons in the United States were living with HIV/AIDS [1]. It's no doubt much more now. That could be part of the reason.
God bless

Who the **** said that? You obviously don't know **** about what you're talking about! I'm catholic and i'm sick of people making all of these generalizations about christians and have all of these stereotypes! There's PLENTY of christians who have sex before marriage. It was very ignorant of you to think that they all wait. Who the **** said they're in a rush to get married?

I was 32 when I got married, and I was a virgin. Not everyone is in a hurry to get married or to have sex.

That's a generalization that's unfounded. Regardless, we see love and sex in a whole different light. One mate for a lifetime. And are called upon to be fruitful and multiply. That woud require marriage first.

calm down with the thumbs down voting - I'm a Christian, I've never had sex, and even I think a huge factor is having sex. Not the only factor - but a big one. it doesn't apply to everyone, so friggin sue me for having an opinion
