It's true what your mom and sister say, sometimes! Obviously there are little kids who can't see a thing and start walking into tables and stuff. Then the parents know they definitely need glasses. However, if you're in high school and your vision has changed slightly (which is very common!), it might be just that your eyes are working harder to see, hence your eye strain (headaches, whoozy feeling).
It doesn't hurt to get an eye exam. They're easy -- no scary needles or getting undressed like some other doctor's appointments.

When you get headaches alot and your eyes are feeling tired all the time then I think you need to see a Doctor. I never thought that I would be needing eye glasses because I thought my vision was just perfect but I get headache all the time so I went to see the Doctor and the he said to me right away, I need glasses. So go ahead and get it check. Hopefully, it wasn't the eyes because it wasn't fun to ware glasses or even contact lenses.

i always knew i needed glasses, from the moment when i was really young and my mom first got glasses and i tried them on and everything was so clear. well anyway, i kept telling my mom i needed glasses and she didnt listen to me, and at the eye exam during my physical shed tell the nurse i was pretending not to see the bottom row because she really thought i just wanted glasses for fun. well anyway it became a problem in school, as it always had been earlier, that i couldnt see the board or the overhead, and i couldnt even see the license plate number on the car stopped in front of us at a red light. thats how bad my vision is, but i didnt really know that it was that blurry till my mom finally got me to go get glasses before the 8th grade. so ive had em for four years now and when i take em off i cant see and it bothers me and i get a headache, whereas before i ever put on my glasses it was normal to see blurry. get your eyes examined.

Might have been a migraine headache which can cause dizziness and blurred vision.
The only way to tell if you need glasses is to have an eye exam.

Not true. I knew for about three years that I needed glasses before I got them, i just never went to the eye doctor.
If it was a one day thing, its most likely not that you need glasses, but rather other enviornmental factors (lack of sleep, not enough to eat, taking nyquill or any sleep-aid yesterday).

sometimes your eye's can change so gradually that you don't notice. unfortunately, there really isn't an effective method of determining whether or not you need glasses other than schedueling an appointment with your optometrist. if you want, you can try to find a street sign or something that you cannot read and ask someone with you (who has good vision,) if they cannot read it as well.
