Depends on which one is the survival expert.

The atheist. Seems to me an atheist would have their head on straighter than a Christian and at least I wouldn't have to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with someone shoving their beliefs down my throat. Most atheists don't feel an overwhelming urge to convert others...

If I could pick ANY religion to be in the wilderness with, however, I would choose a fellow Pagan. We'd have a hell of a lot more fun.

A long legged beautiful on both the inside and out atheist. If I wasnt married. As I am, an atheist with good wilderness skills...

Christians would give me thumbs down all the time - lol

Honestly, I really don't care what they believe about God, I'd want someone who would be willing to work for their food and shelter and would know at least as much (if not more) about wilderness survival as I do.
Neither will convince me that their belief or non-belief is correct. I'd be at home out in the wilderness and could go spend time with the other animals if that company annoyed me ;)

I wouldn't really care as long as they were willing to work on getting the heck out of there!

Both would probably have something interesting to say. However I think I'd end up choosing the atheist, that way we could have interesting discussions about perspectives, ideas, beliefs etc. I'm a theist and I've never been afraid to engage in rational philosophical discussions with people who disagree with me. I find them engaging.

It really wouldn't matter, I'd still treat both the same, with respect, and love just as I would expect to be treated. I can survive in the wilderness, I was taught how to survive in the wilderness, whether it was one or the other I'd help them out just the same.

Well I would choose the christian. Not that there is anything wrong with the atheist or that I would have a problem with them but there is a catch. Atheists are not allowed into boyscouts. Therefore there is a greater chance of the christian having been a boyscout and having survival skills when the chance for the atheist to have been a boysout is zero.

Considering that Elijah call down fire from heaven that consumed an offering and alter that had been soaked with approximately 60 gallons of water I'll take a Christian.

I know, I know, Elijah was a Hebrew prophet of the Old Testament and there for not a Christian but I believe if I had faith like that I could do the same thing.

It would depend. Which one has some food, knows how to build a fire, and will sing songs with me?

I don't like to "clump" groups of people together. Being a Christian or an atheist is such a small part of who somebody truly is - don't you think?

I'd choose the atheist. I think we'd have a much better chance of survival if both of us understood that our subjective experience is imaginary and that the physical realm actually is real.

On the other hand, a nice fat Christian, smoked and dryed over an open fire, should make enough jerky to keep me going for weeks. ...and then I wouldn't have to listen to his relentless preaching anymore.

Go ahead you disgusting bigots, click the abuse flag. I really don't care anymore.
