No, the Army will give you the most nutritious choices of sustainance while you are in Basic Training (Just kidding). You really don't pay anything for your meals in basic. You do have to foot the bill for personal items, and haircuts. All in all, you will probably only need to use about 10-20 dollars a week while you are in boot. That makes for a lot of extra cash in your pocket when you are sprung from the joint. You don't need to bring cash with you though, because the Drills will allow you to use the ATM when you need to get something (meaning do bring 1, and only 1 ATM card)

Who is filling uor head with that idea? no meals are, and have always been 100% free in US bootcamp/basic training. Why do people start these retarded rumors??? talk to your recruiter, talk to someone who doesn't have an axe to grind about the military, maybe they where booted out, and just like to tell lies, but no you do not pay for Food in training, and they do feed you very well, chow halls have come along way, you may not get alot of time, but it's there, so eat fast.

All meals are included. Remember though you get what you pay for. Of course in Boot Camp you don't really have a choice unless you eat out of the PX everyday.

I hear the chows better now than it was 50 years ago though.

Not when I was in boot camp 40 years ago. The only things we paid for were personal items such as tooth paste etc. I rather doubt that has changed.

Nope,

But a married soldier who would normally be eligible for
BAS( food allowance),

Will not collect BAS while they are in Basic.

Since the military is already providing them with meals.

There are several times in a married soldiers career, that their BAS will be stopped and they will have to eat in military dining facilities.

AIT, PLDC,BNOC etc.

No, you stand in the chow line or I should say stand at attention in the chow line(LOL) and wait your turn to eat. You don't need any money. They pay you a salary to buy your personals. Been there, done that. Good luck.

No, you don't pay for your own food in Basic Training. I went to Basic Training in 1991 and we didn't pay for our meals.
