3706, but I don't know how many troops that have been there. It would be nearly impossible to figure out how many troops have been there, some have gone more than once. I would doubt that the percentage of soldiers killed compared to the number that have been there would be in the double digits in terms of percentages.

3, 046 U.S. personnel killed in action as of 10AM Eastern Time on Aug. 21st. 659 U.S. have died from non-combat causes. 168 personnel from the United Kingdom (Great Britain) and 129 from the other coalition countries.
By comparison 9,555 U.S. personnel died on active duty, between 1980 and 1984, when no one was shooting at us.
