To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.

As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I think it's a GREAT idea that you're meeting with a nutritionist... you can see if there is something else that may benefit you more.

One thing that may help you is to have a little bit of "crap" when your eating well, as that may help you to stay eating the healthy stuff on an easier basis. Good luck!

Well, you're not going to lose 10 pounds in one week, but if you're going to a nutritionist, that is a good start. Just remember that fitness is not just about how you look and how much you weigh- it's about how you feel! Once you consult with your nutritionist about a good diet for you and come up with an exercise plan, nobody can really motivate you but yourself! Every time you think about slacking off your workout routine or eating that bag of Doritos, just remember how great you felt when you were starting to lose weight, and then remember how bad you felt when you let yourself slip back into your old ways again. That old saying, "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is right. That said, though, don't deprive yourself of EVERYTHING when you're on a diet- that will only cause you to want to rebel more. Allow yourself a small treat every day- maybe half a candy bar or a snack-sized bag of chips.

nutritionists can be very helpful.
and a lot of weight loss issues are rooted in metal health, or lack of self discipline.
ahh that sounded mean but i wasnt trying to be mean.
my friend had the same problem. she was 208lbs at the beginning of last year and in spring she joined the track team and weighed 180lbs at the end. she still isnt skinny but she is so dedicated to getting a healthy lifestyle. its all baby steps as much as u dont want to hear it.
p.s.- that chick sidney who left an answer to this question is probably an anorexic ***** wannabe so dont listen to her, she's never been chosen for a best answer. lol
hope i helped!

sounds to me that your problem is motivation. you have and then you don't. that's something that everyone has to deal with as we go thur life. maybe, instead of seeing a nutritionalist you could take some classes at a gym?
