The food they get does not really matter: if the dog is healthy, any dog food will do however. If there is a problem, then direct calcium supplementation may be prescribed by your veterinarian.
Be very careful not to add calcium to a dog's diet (especially inpuppies) out of veterinary advice: this may cause severe bone disease...

Any good brand of dog food has enough calcium for a normal dog. If the dog is having trouble with it's calcium level, that is a medical problem.

If you feed a GOOD quality COMPLETE food then you do not need additives. If your dog DOES need additives then they would be prescribed ( and supplied in the proper form) by your Vet. COMPLETE means exactly what it says. It has everything in it that your dog needs to stay healthy.
As far as I am concerned the best quality also means less in, less out, too!
Edit.....PS Just realised that you are the asker with the dog at the Vets. Is thiis the reason why you are asking about Calcium additives? If so, you really should go by Juliens answer above. Any news please. We are all praying for you both

THE ONLY DOG FOOD THAT HAS CALCIUM IN IT REALLY IS PUPPY food but if you are talking about a pregnant ***** then the best thing you can give her is goats milk as it is high in calcium i always give it to my ***** when she is having pups and puppy food and also bakers complete puppy food but get her on factor 4 goats milk as it is full of calcium and let her drink it you must not give you dog any calcium tablets unless prescribe by the vet if you are worried take her to the vet and they can do a blood test to check her calcium level i did and the vet told me to keep the ***** on a good puppy food and to give the ***** goats milk when she had the pups i take it your ***** is with pup or had pups or you would not be asking tjhis question BUT DO NOT GIVE HER ANY CALCIUM TABLETS WITHOUT GETTING her checked by the vet as you can do more damage than good

If you are feeding a balanced diet already it is highly unlikely that your dog will need a calcium supplement.
Furthermore, if you have a pregnant b itch or puppies to feed, feeding a calcium supplement can be detrimental to their health.
Balance is the key with all diets. Sometimes we can do more damage by trying to make things extra specially good when they are perfectly sufficient anyway.

all decent brands of complete dog food have all the right ingredients and minerals in the correct daily intake level. if you think there is a calcium deficiency - get advice from a breeder or your vet

If you mean natural food, cottage cheese is great to put over there kibble.Any dog food has minimal requirements it must meet so they will all be the same except for puppy and possibly senior dog food. If its a large breed you own,you can keep it on large breed dog food,or to save money, give it adult food and add some shark cartilage or cottage cheese or uncooked chicken necks, these bones grind down instead of splinter,do not feed to a toy breed though.good luck:)
