My son is in preschool and will be going to his classmate's birthday party this Saturday. His classmate is a girl and she will be turning 3 years old. I don't know much about this girl and we want to get her a good gift that we know she can learn and play with. What's a good birthday present for a 3 year old girl in general?

Thanks but I would like to avoid getting her a doll. Any more ideas?

She probably has plenty of dolls already. But I would like to get her something that she can play with and can learn from and it also teases her brain.

I read your extra info, and I chuckled. Having 3 daughters ages 3-7, I can tell you that there is no toy they play with more than a nice doll. They also like doll clothes, doll accessories, even toys for their dolls. I'm sure you are thinking this must be neanderthal or something, but that is what little girls do. They are creative and imaginative and they like to create and imagine about reality. They also talk a lot! About the only other things my girls do play with is the Little People sets that have mothers, daddies, and babies, and dress up clothes with tea party things. Of course, the baby dolls do come to their tea parties, too.

My daughter is popping 3 quickly too. i offered her a small growth field with a CD participant in it. I have been given it for her room and offered 2 CDs that tell memories and a making a track CD. Her older brother (4 years previous) has one and he loves his. he will take a seat and hear the memories till the top of the tale. besides, she likes his, so I have been given her one too together with her own memories. I made confident it grew to become into the main elementary little CD participant element i could desire to locate so she could be taught the thank you to apply the buttons promptly.

leap pad or leap frog stuff is unisex and very educational or you could just settle for a cabbage patch doll. All girls at that age love dolls, the more the merrier.
