Well I think if we all learn to appreciate the little things in life it will last throughout our lives. Things like the feel of a baby, the innocence of a child, the love we feel for our mate, or our boyfriend girlfriend or friend, parents, siblings, they are all there to love because they dont last forever. Then thes nature, the bird songs, the sky with all its various colors, the sea. So many wonderful things to give us inner joy. And most of all the love we have for ourselves, we must look after ourselves and be the best we can be. When we show kindness to another, and they are appreciate what we have done, that is so rewarding. All of some of these things will fill our hearts to bursting...oh I forgot our pets. they are filled with uncondiontial love ...

Happiness is an emotion. Like sadness, it comes and goes. There are varying degrees of it too; there's the happiness you get from eating a chocolate bar, the happiness you get from doing a random act of kindness, and the happiness you get from playing your favorite sport, among others. There should always be things in life that make you happy, but you won't be happy every minute of every day of your life, and the things that make you happy will probably change as you age.

It depends on how you define happiness. If it's a general sense of well being regardless of circumstance, yes absolutely. It's formed through faith, spiritual discipline, compassion, etc. It isn't attached to anything material. Any other sort of happiness is built upon the impermanent and ever changing circumstances or things of this world. This too shall pass.

Sweet Pea I say yes because Happiness is a state of mind. If we haven't learned anything we already know trials will come and bad things happen. But thank God that he is here to comfort us in those trying times. Trials will either make you bitter of better. God Bless!
