my father just passed away on aug 1.2007,and my son had a dream of him the other day. and my son is 9,and my son could not make this up because he would never in a million years say what my dad said to him. so i actually think my dad spoke to him, that being said he told him something that when my son told us we would believe he told him from the other side, and if he said granpa said to me in a dream he misses us that would be like oh thats nice son but he didnt get that,my dad told him" tommy do you know the pictures of jesus, well he doesnt look like that at all"... i found this very comforting and i was amazing and still heart felt by it,and do you agree that my son could not have made this up and do you believe? if you dont i hope that this may inspire 1 person to believe in jesus and to believe that there is life after death,i have other awesome stories about angels leaving dimes too and it didnt happen until someone told me it and i have over 10 dimes from dad,no pen, nicks,or qua

no, i don't think it was made up. i think that was a gift from God to bring you peace. and that is a GREAT gift. God let him know that he is a far greater place and for you not to be sad. "weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the mourning"

last yr my 3 yd old nephew passed away. i had a dream similar to your son. i asked my nephew if he could take me to see God and i can promise you i felt my nephew touch my shoulder and say "it's not time for you to see Him yet"...i woke up in tear but at peace because i know that he is in the presence of God as well as your father.

you and your family are in my prayers.

Chippy: you need to go back and read her story all over again. she said her son said " tommy do you know the pictures of jesus, well he doesnt look like that at all... "

I'm sorry for your loss. May your father's memory always be for a blessing.

Scripture tells us that the dead are asleep. They know nothing, and they DO NOT contact us. It may have been a vision from our Father, but who can say. The issue of "pictures" is a good one for christians.

We are to have NO images in our religion. That is why no one has ever seen God and lived to tell about it. If a man ever saw Him, he would surely make an image of Him.

You've got to know that the pictures are just from some man's imagination. We have no idea what our Savior looked like. Your son is most likely correct in that way.

My father passed away in 2000, and I had some pretty vivid dreams of him. Dreams of this sort are nothing but dreams. I don't mean any disrespect, but we have to keep within the bounds of Scripture.

Sorry for your loss. You are in a very vulnerable place right now since it was so recent. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery.

I'm sorry for your loss

but the dimes . . .

you are playing a very dangerous game.

Jesus told the story about the Rich man and the Poor man at his (Rich man's) gate . . . and they both died.

When they "looked up", they could see each other, but there was a gulf between them and the Rich man was in Hell and the Poor man was not . . . the Rich man asked if He (poor man) could bring over a bit of water for his dry tounge . . . but this could not be done because of the gulf between them was fixed and could not be traversed.

The Rich man asked that someone be sent to warn his brothers of what was going to happen to them . . . and he was told that if they did not believe the Prophets then they would not believe someone who returns from the dead (a refrence to Jesus, himself)

The whole point is, there is a gulf fixed between the living and the dead and there is no communication between.

The 'angels' you have been getting dimes from may not be representatives of Jesus . . . but spirits wanting to trick you.

How can I say this? I know the Bible . . . and it sounds like you need to know yours . . . your "game" may be innocent at this point . . . but can grow out of control. The Bible forbids contacting "spirits" or as you call them, angels.

Angels in the Bible (from God) always do the same thing . . . announce a Word from God . . . check it out . . .

they don't leave money . . .

Dreams are the way our subconscious churns over issues that we do not spend time consciously thinking about.

Your son is trying, in his mind, to resolve the death of his grandfather. That strongly ties in with what he as been told about Jesus and life after death. The fact that a Middle Eastern Jew does not look like all the pictures of Jesus is blindingly obvious to anyone who actually thinks about it.

Face it, if you were Muslim his dream grandfather would be talking about Allah, if you were Hindu he would be talking about Vishnu.

There is nothing here but the subconscious mind of a child trying to make sense of the world and the information he has been told.

Okay I don't get the angels leaving dimes part but I think your sons dream is partly true. Maybe your son was wondering if Jesus really looks like what he does in the pictures and your father granted him that knowledge in the dream. Were they close?

I think your son will always remember that dream and it will fuel his fire that burns for Christ.

I would love to hear the other stories sometime. If you could email them to me that would be just awesome.

Sure. Anything is possible. When my daughter was three she told me about seeing her grandfather (who passed 2 yrs befor her birth) with Jesus. She pointed him out in pictures (the pics were packed b/c we were building a house). So we didn't have any pics displayed of him. She even described a bruise on his face, that I'd fogotten about. She tells me she sees people who's passed on. Just continue asking your son to talk about it and let him speak freely. Good luck. 2D

I know you are going through a stressful time..but God does not speak to us in dreams, just his word. I don't know how your (kind of coo coo) story would cause anyone to believe in Jesus..."James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." As you can see it takes more than belief to be saved. Where are you getting your stories? Dimes? I'm not saying it isn't true, I'm saying that Satan is distracting you to depend on other things instead of God. Good luck.

I don't think your son made it up because like your Son. I saw my mom in a dream after her death she came to say good by and even through I know I wont see her again I know she is with God.

Hope this helps

It is most likely possible. Love transends Heaven nd Earth. Because a person dies to this life, the love never dies, and love is God. So believe.
