Okay my boyfriend and I have been together for a year. Todays my birthday and he got me nothing. Not even a card. He said he just couldn't think of anything to get me and that he'll make it up to me later. Should I be mad or am I being petty?

you are allowed to have hurt feelings over this and even be mad, your birthday should be something special to him... tell him that you have hurt feelings over this...

I'd be pissed off big time, and you have every right to feel hurt and mad. The least he could do was get you a card and then ask you what you wanted to do for your birthday.

Obviously it meant something to you, so he should have done something.
