last week i bought some condoms at my local Target store in Chicago. This was my first time buying condoms at a Target. As the cashier, a young lady, rang me up she asked for my age. I'm 24, and I don't think I look underage.. So do Target cashiers always ask for age when buying condoms? do all stores do this? sorry if it's a silly question, but i usually get my condoms from my brothers jar, that's why i don't know.

I don't belive there's any age requirement to buy condoms. Planned Parenthood and schools and other places hand condoms out to grade school kids so I can't imagine there's any age requirement to buying them. Maybe the cashier wanted you to use one on her? You should write to target and complain they invaded your privacy.

yes! you can buy condoms at target, doesnt matter how old you are, believe me they wont ask....They should be in the aisle next to the shaving stuff.....Basically in the health and beauty....Depends on your target, but if u see pads and tampons you will find the condoms...they have a pretty nice collection even lubricants :))

Send an email to the corporate office asking them why she asked you this.

See what kind of interesting answer you get back from them.

It'd be really good if you knew the name of the cashier.

When you get a response, forward it over to your local newspaper if they say they don't sell if you're under 18. It'd make a great news story.

NO, there is no age limitations on buying condoms, I don't get why they would ask you? Next time ask why they want to know or just say no I won't tell you that is completely ridiculous.............

They have NO BUSINESS asking that question. You do not need to be a certain age to buy condoms. Next time, tell her it's none of her beeswax.

State law might require buyers to be 18. If so, that's monumentally stupid, but it might be the case in Chicago.
