debit card is attached to an account at the bank. you just deposit money into the account.

I assume that the card will access your account at any Wachovia ATM [mine will] and deposit is a choice then. They provide the envelopes and accept your pay or other check. [Please, do NOT deposit coins via the ATM -- they jam the works.]

You can do it through the ATM or with the help of a bank teller. At the ATM you'll find envelopes provided for depositing money. Check with your bank though to see when the cash will be available to you if you deposit money after bank hours (9-5/6). My bank, for instance, allows for $100 to be available immediately and if it's cash, the rest is available the next day but if it's a check then it would take a couple of days to clear.

If you go to the window, just tell the bank teller at the window what you want to do and they'll take you through the process. You might have to fill out a deposit slip or they might ask for your debit card and do it for you that way.
