Babysitting gives you a real sense of responsibility. It also teaches you how to react and interact with children. Both qualities can prepare you for a job in the future. You might mention in your resume some of the problems that may have occurred during your babysitting assignments, that you were able to handle and resolve in a mature and responsible manner, such as a child refusing to go to bed, or getting sick, or some emergency situation. Good luck!

If you are a good babysitter, take good care of the child[ren], and don't abuse the parents' trust in you, then you are being responsible.
You don't really have to list your good qualities on your resume. See the sample resume in the source below. When you go for an interview, you might be asked what you did while babysitting, or what you learned. If you were responsible, that would show in your answer. You might ask one or two of the parents that hired you if you can use them as a reference. If they like your work, they'll praise you to the prospective employer.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Responsibility, trust, time management, communication skills, teaching skills, tolerance, and most importantly you are in charge of life's most precious gift. If you make a mistake at a regular job it is only some number somewhere or some inanimate object that is affected. If you mess at when babysitting you mess up some body's kid, which is more important than anything.

Get your families to write letters of reference -- or write them for them and get them to sign.
Leadership, creativity, patience under stress, ability to delegate (getting the kids to help with dishes or cooking), dependability, punctuality, the value of a good attitude...

I would say...
Leadership - Responsibility - Time management (if you have to get the kids dinner by a certain time, to bed by a certain time, etc.) - Team work (hey, those kids are a TEAM of people, right??)

The biggest things I can say are the fact that you can work under pressure and that you can handle stress.
