I'm not an atheist but seriously why would aliens words be any more proof than anyone Else's? What if humans went to another planet and told them there is a god? How is that proof? How do you even know the aliens all believe the same thing?

If aliens were to worship the same God/Jesus/Holy Ghost, or some other religion duplicated here on Earth, then I would probably join that religion.
Not because some alien said so, but because the odds of an alien culture worshiping the exact same god as a culture here on Earth is so improbable that it is reasonable evidence that religion is true.
What will you do when they turn out to be Hindu?

Actually I doubt even the most committed of Atheists have ever thought that other societies outside Earth,if they exist, would not have their own religious myths as well. After all no species is going to start their existence with all the answers science can provide. So they will start just like we did,ignorant and looking up to the stars thinking it's the home of some higher being.

ok, right it is the topic with Alien abduction. Nowhere else in the worldwide has the different u . s . a .'s voters been abducted by skill of extraterrestrial beings, no longer one single report of such. So, this begs the question, do they simply abduct individuals? Or, and it is probable the fact, individuals are the only ones stupid adequate to declare they have been abducted. Yep, i think of people are loopy. there is not any evidence of abduction. merely pathetic individuals that want a rapid dose of attractiveness interior the tabloids.

Were you of a mind that our neighbors have to be considered "all knowing?" If so, why?
Just because you come from another planet doesn't necessarily make you smarter. It could just be another society like ours which is still in the throes of superstition and dogma. And if they cite the same old tired non-reasons that our local theists repeat ad nauseam, then that would prove it.

Well, I would have to consider it somewhat more likely to be true. But I would also want to hear some of the other things the aliens believe, just in case it turns out they have a tendency to just believe every stupid thing that turns up on human radio and TV broadcasts.

um no, i'd imagine they where playing a clever trick on us until something more was cited, and good luck with that, all the major religions resemble ones older than themselves, just kinda reinvented so who ever made up your dogma didn't have an imagination basically. so when they come to earth saying 'what is this god rubbish' then will you believe what we have been telling you for the reasons you cited

WHEN that happens silly man....I will simply put the aliens in a hypnotic trance and control their minds, then I would have them seek out all of you who believe in "god" and have him take you up to the "heavens" in their flying spaghetti plate ships.....and drop you.
If your lucky you will die from spontanious conbustion from entering the earths atmoshere, if not you will die a painful death when you land on the ground that has now been turned from grass to broken beer bottle astro-turf.(My personel design)

Funny question....but I don't believe aliens are visiting us. The nearest star is 4.3 light years away and it is trinary system, that probably doesn't support life.
But for arguments sake, I would find it interesting if they had the same story, not sure I would believe it still, but you never know.
What is the opposite was true? They laughed at our silly beliefs, much the way we laugh at, say the Aztecs? Would you still believe?
