there's a guy on my tv right now saying people who can tell the future are possesed by demons.
do any christians on here believe that? and if so, does this mean that joseph was possesed by demons when he predicted the 7 years of plenty followed by 7 years of famine in egypt?

That guy on TV is only semi correct. not everyone is possessed. Joseph was not possessed because he recieved divine help from God.

Think about it: demons know EVERYTHING there is to know about the present and the future, but not the future. They can take present information and make very good guesses about what will happen tomorrow but they can't know it 100%.
People who say they can 'speak to the dead' get their information from demons, because the spirits of the dead are in heaven or hell, according to the Bible: "It is appointed unto man ONCE to die, and then the judgement". Period.
As for those trying to predict the future, they, too, do it with the assistance of demons. In both cases, I doubt the person sees their "helpers" as demons (demons can imitate even angels) so I'm sure they believe that they are "special" or are in line with Christian beliefs. They ARE NOT.
There is a difference, then, between PROPHETS who tell what is going to happen because GOD sends them to tell someone, and so-called 'psychics' who are NOT in touch with God.

God gave some people the ability to see into the future. God gave Joseph that power.
Demons do not have the power to see the future. However, they might help a person to pretend they have such power through tricks.
Probably demons do not posess many people today, as Christ defeated them on the cross and in His resurrection.

Just like spiritual gifts are more visable to the public, so are preachers who are not of God. He hasn't been gifted in the spiritual things, he's jealous that others do, so therefore no one else can possibly hear from God in his eyes. Many preachers and wannabe pastors have this issue, and it is up to us to have a discerning spirit so we can tell between the good and the bad ones.

If this is true, all the prophets and even Jesus himself would be demon possessed, God can also predict the future and tell people, plus he is much more accurate than a demon, demons can be wrong sometimes, God cannot.

No, Joseph interpreted dreams with a gift from God he did not predict the future.

Some possibly could be, but it is not the rule. Some mystics occasionally have this gift. Joseph certainly was not possessed.

That's that man's opinion and you have to decide that for yourself. I personally don't believe that people who can tell the future are possessed by demons, some may be mentally ill, but I wouldn't call being mentally ill being possessed by demons either.
Did Joseph predict it or did God tell him that that would happen?...I don't remember

Some people in the Bible were allowed to prophesy by God. This ended with the apostles. Any fore-telling now is either false and made-up or demonic.
