you could try abreva, viradent gel cold sore treatment, lipreve for cold sore relief, orajel multi-action cold sore medicine gel, orajel medicated cold sore swabs, zilactin cold sore gel, zilactin-L cold sore liquid

or other options you could try are:

Lip balms they moisturize and soften the scabs that form on cold sores so they are less likely to crack and bleed.

Applying ice (for five to ten minutes each hour) during the Tingle stage will lower the temperature of the tissue where the cold sore is forming. This temperature reduction will reduce the area's metabolic rate and therefore, in turn, stifle the cold sore's development.it also acts as a numbing agent

apply a teabag to the area. Tea contains tannic acid and it has been suggested that tannic acid possesses antiviral properties (some over-the-counter medications for cold sores contain tannic acid). Placing a tea bag on a cold sore when it first begins to form (especially during the Tingle stage) can possibly help to minimize the extent to which the lesion will develop.

Coat the cold sore with petroleum jelly. Moisturizing agents such as petroleum jelly can be applied to cold sore scabs. This will moisturize and soften them so to help to prevent them from cracking

herbal remedies
Both of the herbal antiseptics Sage and Tea Tree Oil and also the herbal sedative Violet has been suggested as a treatment for cold sores.

As soon as I feel one commencing to form, when it first feels slick, itchy and just a little ordinary, I start soaking it with Blistek. For me this may occasionally frequently make it quick and more commonly not ever breaks out into a sore. I would suppose distinct persons will react another way from bloodless sores and also the cures. Some folks use just simple camphor. Good success. Pops

The quikest cheapest way is..your own urine..dab a bit on before bedtime..in the morning it should be relieved. Secondly, Zovirax is also a good over the counter product for treating cold sores..though is expensive for what you actually get. Thirdly, check what it is you have been drinking out of..dirty cups, glasses, plastic cups usually bring this on..or chewing on a pencil or placing things in your mouth without first thinking about what it is that you are doing. Most is self-inflicted..though its the self-inflicted that can be treated by yourself too. Good luck.

Cold sores cannot be cured, and sometimes they will last about 2 weeks, all you can do is buy some abreva, which is very expensive or use carmex to help numb it.
