Ok, 8 weeks is about the time where your dog will start misbehaving. You have to tell the dog that no is no, right is right, and wrong is wrong. Keep doing that, and the puppy will know that you're the boss.

yeah, well, this is not atypical of toy breeds. People have a tendency to choose breeds by their looks rather than really researching temperaments. Many think "little" is easy....whereas they often have real temperament problems.

Ya know, I am betting you did not buy the puppy in person from a real, REPUTABLE breeder, othewise you would have seen this problem before you brought the pup home...and you are asking a bunch of strangers here, most who have the same problems as you...and you are not asking the person you bought the pup from.

saying the word "no" means nothing. The puppy does not know what the word means.

There are methods of dealing with this....but trying to put in words, it is easy to misintrepret....find a good puppy trainer in your area...go in person for a lesson...

Goodness - glad he's a chihuahua, not a dobie.

Do not accept this behavior, but don't yell or hit or make an issue of it. Stop telling him no, he's a baby and doesn't get it yet, it's likely your tone and attitude that upset him.

Treat him like the infant he is and don't challenge him like this. If he does bite or growl, immediately ignore him and turn away.

Above all, do not make confrontations, it will simply get an aggressive reaction from him.

Get a book on puppy training, it will help you understand what needs doing.

I hate to say but you need to teach him who is in control because right now he is.
