My dad was a Platoon Sgt. and 1st Sgt in the 2/327th in Vietnam.
He was 1st Sgt HQ, A Company, but that was when the 101st initially deployed to Vietnam in 1965.
By your time frame, he had switched to Artillery and was .
1st Sgt. 7th Battalion, 13th Field Artillery, 41st Artillery Group
In Vietnam in 1968.
