I feel ya man. please email me so that I can help you out in private. I've been there and I'm struggling not to go back (it's so hard). I really want to help out people in the same situation, God's just given me a passion to help people like you and I. Even if they don't have the same problems.

Just remember that God will always forgive you, pray to him. Repent. Don't think negatively of yourself. You will stumble, but you won't fall. You screw up, but your not a screw up. You will be hindered, but you won't quit. You are unbreakable in the Lord. Impenetrable. You will deflect anything Satan throws your way. You will not be held captive by this addiction! You will not let it master you!

Satan is always trying to take you away from the Lord and sometimes he succeeds, but he made one mistake- he let you become a Christian.

Please, email me. I want to help. In the meantime, read Ephesians 4:20-24

Hey, Todd, it's ok. You are a guy, did you know it is considered unhealthy to have less than 5 erections a day? You can throw away your adult magazines and videos and try and do something constructive to take your mind off these urges. Like do some press-ups or sit-ups or go for a run if you want to stop. Or you can just go with the flow - you're only human - God gave humans a sex drive and He gave us free-will, what you are doing is nothing unnatural or wrong.

This is the big problem with organised religion. They try to impose their own ideas on the people who listen to them. Here is a young health man doing something that is quite normal and nothing to be ashamed of and these people who run the church he feels he must attend have got him feeling guilty. Nothing wrong with feeling guilty if you have done something wrong but to make someone feel guilty for no real reason is just plain evil.

Stop feeling guilty you are just a normal 23 year old man with quite natural urges. You will probably find a lot more people do it than admit to it. Just look at how many church leaders and tele-evangelists have been caught doing much worse things

So you have a problem! But that is not a problem that God cant take care of!! Pray a lot whenever you start to think of it pray, pray hard! I have learned recently when you think that you cant go on anymore God pulls you through everytime. Ecspacially since its something that God doesnt want you to have to deal with God will take care of it. Have faith, pray, get rid of anything having to deal with it stay away from it! I will definately be praying for you!
God bless!!!:DD

ps. whenever you feel the urge to look at it/watch it try reading the Bible.

We all have things in our life where we feel we are letting God down, and I guess this is yours. Firstly, the thoughts you are experiencing are perfectly natural, and indeed, God wants you to enjoy sex in your life - just not in this context.

The women you are lusting after are real people - more often than not, they are women with little control over their ow lives, or who have experienced something so terrible that they have little or no self belief left. The next time you encounter these images, try to picture these women as victims who need your prayers and support rather than as objects of desire.

I am sure that every Christian reading your comments is sending their prayers and best thoughts for you on this journey.

The Bible says, "Make no provision for the flesh"
You can take practical steps:
do not go to the shop where you obtain those videos.
Only watch videos with trusted friends. etc.

Do what AA members do with alcohol....leave it alone one day at a time

Also acceot that God still loves you. He sees your struggles and will help if you let Him.
There must be somebody (a friend in another Church, another local pastor...who you could confide in.
I promise that I will uphold you in prayer
If further contact would help, do get in touch.

Remember when the Lord said the seven demons return to see a clean house?

That refers to us cleansing ourselves to the Lord but when we fall we are worse yet because we are tempted greater on the spiritual compass. IE, we are allowing ourselves to fall into temptation and become lukewarm to the teachings because we are tuning into that which the demons know we are weak too.

And they will tempt you much more now because it worse when you fall.

Thus you are more corrupted because you are allowing this.

Pray, and pray alot. When you find this temptation, tune into a religious program, and pray.

My personal favorite meditation is the rosary and EWTN.

I will pray for you. Its not easy, but so worth it to avoid the near occasions of sin which lead us to sin.

Evidently, the pleasure is gone from this activity because the Holy Spirit is filling you with consequential guilt for turning from His plan for you.

Peace

Find someone you trust in your church. Maybe an elder or a mature Christian. Tell them about it - make yourself accountable to them. Ask them to pray with you.

They won't judge you. We are all sinful and all do wrong things.
