In the immortal words of Captain Mainwaring:
"Stupid boy."
Salvation is a religious thing, not a scientific thing.

The superior life force that created us, probably as an experiment many, many moons ago will probably, once our bodies are worn out - will take us into their labs, check us over and using the same computer hard drive - our brain - place it into that of another new model - plonking us straight back down on earth.
Seriously, I believe in reincarnation but not in the religious sense, more in the scientific way.
Evolution doesn't do it for me as why have all mankind's greatest achievements happened over the last few centuries when up until then we could barely do anything else!
The god as I believe is more likely to be a higher life form from a galaxy or planet we are likely never to know about - just as we plonk things on the moon, mars, etc - they too have done that but many years ago and, voila, the human race and planet earth was born!
I am not into Scientology but I do believe that there is an element of science involved and not by some mythical creature as described in the Bible - If I'm wrong, then God will forgive me for my ignorance!

Salvation from what exactly? I live a perfectly balanced life and am happy with that. What on earth does science have to do with anything?
You people are really out there.

Let's hash this tired argument out one more time, just for fun, huh?
Atheists do NOT worship the almighty Science Gods!!! We do NOT equate science with religion. It has answers to some of life's mysteries. Not ALL of life's mysteries. I don't "believe" in science, because I know it's real. Even so, I don't think science can or will enable me to live forever. Only egotistical megalomaniacs think they deserve to live forever.

Atheists are of the opinion that they do not need salvation and in fact they believe there is no such thing as salvation. So, they are not depending on anyone or anything for their salvation.

I think you need to study Atheism a little more, as by definition, they don't believe in salvation or eternity, so why would they need to depend on something for it?

There is no "eternity". Salvation from what? If you mean salvation from religious fanatics, my reason and sanity takes care of that. You, however, are a lost cause.

Why would someone who does not believe in god, heaven or hell need salvation? This is not a well thought out question

No one needs saving from anything supernatural. Eternity will not be any more in my mind after I'm dead than before I was born. My living existence (and yours) will end when we die.
