Ok, there's a guy that I have known since the second grade. He is my best friend, but now I have a crush on him. He doesn't know (thank God) but sometimes I think he feels the same way. But with this guy, it is so hard to tell.

I actually have two questions:
1) How can I figure out if he likes me without letting him know that I like him? (wow, that was long and confusing)
2) And if he does like me, should I make a move? (i.e. flirt, ask him out etc.)

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, from guys and girls! (You gotta know both sides :P)

first ask yourself, are you willing to risk your friendship with him to take this relationship to the next level? if you are, heres what to do:
1) drop subtle hints, and see how he reacts. give him a hug every now and then, and if he gets all akward, thats a good sign. hang out with him one-on-one, and just talk to him, maybe casually reaching over and touching his arm. next, be flirty with another guy, or ask him what he thinks of another guy. if he is reluctant to answer, thats a good sign...
2)if you are pretty sure, MAKE A MOVE. before someone else does...you will regret it if you wait too long and he ends up with someone else...
good luck!!

Okay, so here's the deal.
I, too, had a guy friend who I'd known for a long time and was hopelessly in love with.
In a long, twisted way I told his sister who told him for me, later he told me that he liked me.
We started going out and it was all going good until I started to think about the next school year.
I didn't want any distractions from school and friends so I broke up with him, kind of.
I told him the whole story, that we couldn't be together during the school year and he sounded totally okay with it.
I figured he still cared about me as I did for him.
Then something happened and I ended up crying in tears so I called him up seeing if he was around so that I could go to his house.
He wasn't but I figerd the way I was sounding he would at least ask what was wrong, yeah he didn't.
Once he told me that and I stopped talking cuz I was huffin and puffin he said bye and I hung up on him cuz I was even more mad.
My point to the story is, you can never EVER understand a guy, and if you've been friends so long just stay friends. If you get with him you might end up realizing that it was just friendship and you loved him but not in that way.
I know I make no sense but I really do know a lot, if you have any questions feel free to email me.

ask him out & just lay it on the line, tell him how you feel about him. If he feels the same about you he will tell you, if he doesn't then let him know that you still want to be friends. But sometimes the girl has to make the first move because the guys tend to be a little slow when it comes to that, or either they are afraid of being rejected & then also lose your friendship. Or be a little flirty. When you go out kiss him on the cheek good night & see what happens, who knows that just might start things up.

1) If you dont want him to know that you're interested, but want to see if he is, then ask a mutual friend to casually ask him what he thinks of you. He'll tell the friend, and the friend will come to you. In all honesty, if the guy isnt an idiot, he'll know what's going on, but he will tell the friend anyway.

2) Ok, so he told the friend he likes you. The ball is in your court now. Dont be afraid to ask him out somewhere where you can talk to him. Since you already know he likes you, make it known that you like him. Simply tell him that you like him more than a friend and you want to try the next step.

I really dont think that there is a way to find out he feels the same way, expect for asking, trying to kiss him, etc. I think it would be great if he did- the best relationships start out as friendships. But, I believe that "most" guy friends always want "more" so he probably does feel the same way! Good Luck@

Well, i'm dating my best guy freinds now. :]:]
We've been best freinds since the 6th grade.:]

Anyway, I think you should have a freind ask him or something., if you dont want him to find out. But, if he's not stupid, he'll know. You should just ask him yourself. It's a lot easier, and plus, if you've known each other since the second grade, you should be able to tell him everything. ;

If he does like you, then you should ask him out!!! or kiss him!!! Dont play hard to get. it doesnt work most of the time. That only works on stupid guys. :]

Good luck!!!!! :D:D:D:D

I would try what my friend did, she found this anonymous messaging site called http://hikkup.com and she sent an anonymous message to our other friend she liked asking him if he liked her and he did but didn't think she liked him and said he was too scared to make a move. Then she hinted that she liked him and he asked her out a week later. What worked once might work again, good Luck!!!

1) Girls are lucky because you can play it cute to find out. I have heard of girls doing the dream test:

Dream test:
Go up to the buddy and tell him "hey I had a dream last night and in it you and me were boyfriend and girlfriend."

Check his reaction, if the reaction is good and seems like he liked the idea you can say "Wouldn't it be funny if we went out to see if I'm psyhic."

If his reaction is bad and seems he does not like the idea you can say: "Isn't that a crazy, I knew you would think it was funny."

2) Assuming you think he likes you, always flirt, flirt like crazy.

If he's your best friend just ask him if he likes you as more than a friend, sometimes when you get to know your best friend better you end up not being friends anymore.
