Very good ....fully expect you to be told this either a coincidence or we're reading too much into it.

But for those that say that...remember this...at a time when "science" was saying "add more leaches to drain out the disease", it was during the Black Plague folks really started to apply what Leviticus said and then were able to end the spread of contamination.

I have studied the science of the bible in great depth. It is amazing how much the Hebrew understood about our world before modern science came along to show us the truths of the bible. It is to me, just one more sign that the bible has its origins out side out time domain. You might be interested to know that in the 12th century a Jewish scholar estimated using Genesis 1 that there where 10 dimensions 4 knowable and 6 unknowable. the depth of knowledge in the bible is endless in my opinion. But we must be careful, it is given to us to teach us redemption above all. It is the most beautiful book ever written.

Hmm, when I eat dirt and feces I get sick. Perhaps I should construct a method to remove these things from my hands. Hmm, water makes it go away. I think I will always pour water on my hands before I eat. I'm sure alot of people died before they got it right.

You know they had earthquake proof buildings that far back too?
People weren't stupid, they just hadn't discovered everything yet. That doesn't mean they were incapable.

Nobody did. It's called, hey, look, when people don't wash, they get sick. When people eat certain tainted foods, they die. I solemnly assure you, the Hebrews had no conception of "germs" as such.

But modern-day "religious" people look back on the common-sense, rule-of-thumb provisions of the ancients and take it as confirmation of their own belief-system. That's what's called "reaching."

Saying that you noticed that if you were clean, you get sick less is not evidence that you know a damn thing about germs. The Egyptians did the same things.

And the Bible says God sits in the CIRCLE of the Earth. God knew the Earth was round but we didn't figure it out until Columbus.
