My friend is having her birthday day party......tomorrow and i still don't know what to get her! She's turning 12 and I don't really want to give her a gift can because I like giving people real gifts. Gift cards are like saying I don't know you that good so here or like saying I was to lazy to but you a present because you're not that important. That's why I like getting my friends real gifts, so can someone please help me??

Who are you trying to make happy here - you or the girl? A gift card to a popular clothing store, music store, etc, will let the kid pick out something that they really want, and that will make them happy.
You say you want to find the perfect gift, but don't know what to get (or you wouldn't be asking for advice here). But YOU want to provide that gift, not let the kid pick it out. You're trying to make yourself look like the best gift giver here, and make yourself look good, even if it's just in your own eyes.
Get the gift card - and then go shopping with her, and help pick out the t-shirt/CD/DVD/shoes/movie/car parts. (Hey, I'm just checking to see if you're still reading this)

Sometimes it is just not that easy to know what someone would like.
Would you rather give them a Gift certificate or something that they might really hate?

This will be really useful as time passes. There are just so many times every year that you need to buy someone a gift.

A beautiful, lovely, greeting card along with a happy birthday gift like a pen, chocolate or anything which you think she will like. Ask your own mind and it will tell which is the best gift. be your own judge. No gift should be given which will pain her psychologically and spiritually.
True, selfless love is the greatest birthday gift which we can give to anybody. it will never fade away.

Why don't you have your mom or dad drop the 2 of you off and have a pamper day for girls at the spa. Make your own "gift certificate" to give to her for the party, set a limit on how much you want to spend, and enjoy the day of pamper (nails, pedicure and perhaps pizz afterwards). I'm a mom and this sounds liek funto me... Enjoy!

Get her a gift card, but put it in a card that let's her know how well you know her and how much she means to you as a friend.

I would say to tell them to give you money. I'm 13 and when people ask me I say money. Why? Simple if they just give you cash then you can go out and whatever you want. Instead of telling them, and them getting you the wrong style or brand, or even color. So if I were you I would request money. I hope I helped, by the way, Happy Birthday hun! :)

okay if shes your friend then you should know what kind of stuff shes into. most likely some stuff that you like. its not always dolls cause i grew out of that when i was like 9. and makeup is not real good cause normally they don't wear it until there older and they just use it for dress up.
maybe if she has an ipod get her something for that.
or uhh computer games
maybe perfume'
of a friendship bracelet
what ever she buys herself get stuff in that category

Go get one of those $25.00 american express gift cards girls love them because they get to use a real credit card. Well sort of real only has $25.00 on it but hey shes 12 she'll love it

Depends on how much you would like to spend. I think my recommendation would be something with music. A CD player and a CD to start would be good. Or if you are looking to spend more you could do an mp3 player.
