As long as there are ignorant people like Condoleezza Rice....
http://www.hairenik.com/HairenikTV/HA_TV_Clip53.htm
And as long as there are senators who are accepting "gifts" from Turkish companies...($$$).

We are going to have difficulties....
BUT, we will never give up, we have to fight our fight until near future victory.

EDIT: phantom, We do not have to search the TRUTH, there was no Internet back then, there are true documents and true people's testimony, whatever is out there against ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, is the lies of Turkish Government, they had plenty of time to destroy true evidence and make new ones.
Your sources are all from your side, so you just go and clone people and create chaos, even your Turkish friends are calling you names!

And why is everyone attaching Sera, oh the truth hurts? To bad.
but got to tell you, when you admit and apologize, you will fell much better, believe or not that will give your conscious a tranquility. Try it and you will see the results.

Armenian Genocide Resolution has 226 Cosponsors in congress willing to pass the bill which is enough, but the democrats are holding the passage rights. If they pass it through now they run the risk of Bush vetoing it. He seems to think angering Turkey right now is not in our best interest in the middle east. I say they are not going to help us either way anyway. All the US is doing is helping them with the Kurdish situation. I don't think our President could spot a snow job even if it fell on his head.
edit: Why do you post these Armenian questions in the Turkey section? They just come up with such garbage and it makes me sick. Then they report us all on top of it. You got a Turk already starring your question, and anytime now there will be a mad rush of turks in here with their same ole bull crap coming from the same ole tanju's and ipeks, and then the birdie comes flying in.
edit: Tanju please your always trying to give some experts contribution to any question that has the word Armenian in it no matter what section its in, but the big problem with you is its not even credited with any reliable sources if in fact you even bother to list any. So let me tell ya this, your no expert your not even considered to be of average intelligence. Thats it....over and out!

well i am following www.anca.org.
if we involve them in here, more people will be come aware
of what is going on in our congress.
we will know which senator, or congress person is against
the resolution, then all we have to do follow the money trace and then we will know who bribed who.
and defiantly most Jewish head honchos indeed against passing this resolution because the Holocaust will no longer
be the first.
why do you think no one ever made a movie about Armenian Genocide. Why do you think almost we never hear anything
about Genocide in Media.
the only person who did mention the Genocide was Peter Jennings god bless his soul.
and i also believe you.
the one and only reason that U.S. is not passing it, is because of GEOPOLITICAL area of which Turkey is in right
now. otherwise U.S. would of recognized it way before.
Dear Alana,
when Bush was running for presidency the first time around
almost about 300 members of my friends and family received
post cards that he is promising that he will pass the Genocide
issue , and about almost all of us sing that post card and send it to his campaign office with our votes that he will pass it
as usual any one who wants to run give us a whole lot of
b.s. that we will do this or that and the 2nd they are in office.
well, who was asking ,what when where
we know how its bunch of empty promises.

Honestly, I think chances are slim to none... there are more powerful people (with more money) lobbying against us. For example (B'nai B'rith International, the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), along with all the lobbying groups Turkey has hired). But theres always hope and prayer right?
Edit:
I dont think they are against it because they want a monopoly on genocide, or that they "want to be first"..it has to do with U.S./Israel relations, and Turkey being their only Muslim ally.
Edit 2: Yes, the ADL did say the Armenian killings were "tantamount to genocide", but only after national pressure...but they still don't support the resolution..so it doesnt really count.

The U.S. needs Turkey for imports and support especially since there is a war in the middle east. The last thing the U.S. needs is another powerful enemy. If the U.S. accepts the Armenian genocide .. Turkey will stop imports and transportation with the U.S. and the peace will break.
Hopefully, our next president will be a decent and educated man who knows his facts in history.

It ain't gonna pass, not only this year it won't pass next year and the following and the following and the following,it will go on like this,do you know why?
because the tragedy lived in our lands almost a hundred years ago was not a genocide and Repuclic of Turkey which is established after that sad occasion will not apologise untill
Spain take responsibility for the mass genocide they practiced on the natives in Mexico, central and South America,
England apologize to India
French apologize for Napoleon or the things they have done in Africa
Russians apologize to the Jews and the Cossaks for the pogroms.
US to the native Americans.
