Spaying, which is the equivalent of neutering a female, will have benefits well beyond just making her calmer. It will eliminate deadly diseases like pyometra and uterine cancer and ovarian cancer. It will greatly reduce the incidence of mammary cancer. It will stop unpleasant things associated with being in heat, such as bloodstaining on your furniture and carpet, and will eliminate the moddiness that gives the word "*****" such a bad name. It will prevent her from delivering unwanted puppies on your new bedspread. Spaying is the most responsible, important thing you can do for your beagle. I recommend it.

Rusty & King was 4 1/2-5 months when I had them neutered because the vet said it was a good time becausetheir jewels was starting to drop. Duke was 5 years old when we got him from my niece and he hadnt been neutered yet so we took hime in and had him done all 3 of my boys are doing great and your little fellow will also. Plus he will be a healthier and happier boy and you wont have to worry about him chaseing after some female and maybe getting lost or worse. Good luck

Spaying is definantly a good idea. It can keep her from having puppies that are unwanted and it can help keep her from getting certain types of cancers.

Beagles are notorious for being stubborn and hard headed. It just takes constant training and vigilance. But spaying might help calm hera little.

A good excecise regme would help more. Try walking her atleast once a day. Or throwing a ball etc.

Spaying your dog may help calm her down a bit. Regardless...she should be spayed anyways. She will be less likely to run away (increasing her chances of being run over, attacked by another animal, picked up, or getting pregnant.) Check with your local SPCA for discount pricing on fixing your pet.

Unless you plan on breeding, spay her. Younger is better, but it may not calm her down.

As for her behavior, she's a puppy and that's what puppies do; they get into mischief, just as toddlers do. The puppy phase will pass, but in the meantime, take your puppy on frequent walks, let her chase balls and take her to play with other dogs, to burn off extra energy.

It may and it will also help prevent her to go looking for males.
It is healthier for her.
Beagles are a hyper dog so time will also help.
