If they are REAL safety glasses there should be no problem. If they are something someone bought at the dollar store and they are all scratched up then you have a problem.

I have three pairs of real safety glasses, one plain and two bi-focal. My eyes feel better at the end of the day than when I first wake up.

ALWAYS buy good tools, and that is especially true of safety equipment.

Trust your eyes to quality, not a low bid...

Safety Glasses Damage Eyesight

No they are not bad for your eyes..... they are "safety" glasses meant to protect your eyes from harm. As long as they are approved for the tasks you are using them for then they will not cause any harm to your eyes... they will protect them :)
Any material you can look through does have a refractive index and does very slightly causes things to look a bit different, but this has no effect on your eyes/vision. But this is slight and not even noticeable to most people. If they were bad for your eyes then they wouldn't be very safe would they???
Do not worry safety glasses prevent eyes from damage they do not cause any!!!!!

NOT wearing safety glasses at work would be bad for your eyes. I don't see how they could actually be bad for you....are you having a certain problem?

I have never heard of this. What I know of saftey glasses in the work place is that it is for your protection. I had a boyfriend once who was a mechanic. He flat out refused to wear protective goggles. As a result, he had metal end up embedded in the same eye twice. The doctor told him if it happened again, he might lose some or all sight in that eye.

I don't know if wearing them can be bad for you, but I do know not wearing them can.

Maybe, but probably not as bad as not wearing safety glasses.

no, safety glasses have no corrective refraction in the glass or plastic lenses, they cannot cause any harm.

If they don't have a perscription, you're just looking through plastic windows... They can't hurt you.
