People become ill because of sin (and everyone sin's), because we are human, because we live in a fallen world, and because God allows it.

That is a lie. People DO NOT get harmed only because they lose faith.
This is a faulty theology from someone that doesn't really know, or hasn't really studied.
Forget the doctrines of healing you most likely have been taught by the faith healers and teachers...those teachings don't hold water.
Your statement- harmed only because they lose faith...can you think of exceptions to this? If you can, then you KNOW the statement cannot be true.
Let's see...Job was afflicted BECAUSE he was faithful.
Paul had his thorn in the flesh, in order, we find out, to keep him humble.(God said His strength was made perfect in his weakness)
Timothy, we know, had stomach trouble because Paul suggested he take a little wine for it.
See? Fact is, we humans get sick. There is no guarantee that we will enjoy perfect health always when we become Christian. And, there are different reasons WHY a person may become ill.

People are not harmed because they lose faith. People get ill for health reasons. It is by no means a judgment of sin or lack of faith. God does not sit in heaven and look down and wait for us to mess up so He can strike us with some illness. Pastors becoming ill has nothing to do with them losing faith. I hope that helps.

Your premise is wrong. Nobody said having faith protects anyone, pastors included, from harm or illness or death. These are all part of this fallen world and we are all subject to them. There are things we can do to maintain health and stay out of harms way according to Scripture, but it doesn't cover every situation. All of the Apostles except John were killed for their faith, and they had great faith (they actually walked with Jesus), but they were still subject to this sinful world system. It is still better to be in the camp of God and suffer than to suffer and still go to hell.

Your question is backwards. Even none speaking babies can be harmed.
Sometimes the harm comes to protect us. My boss tried to murder me with a hamer in 1980. It caused brain damage -epilepsy. Eight years ago both of my sons were kidnapped. That is very painful. But I do not feel nearly as much pain as ones that are not epileptic; for if the stress comes, the sezure comes, then the stress is taken away by the sezure.
I even wrote the Dr. Phil show 2 years ago and asked how do reg. people take the stress of kidnapped children? He answered daliy help.

first what is your source of Biblical scripture to back that up.
we live in a fallen world and all have fallen short of God's glory, whether we have faith or not we are able to die and get sick and endure hardships, Jesus never promised that following Him would lead to a blissful life on earth, in fact He knew how hard it would be which is why He said the road was narrow and that few would find it, pastors are just people dealing with the same problems that we all have. However, faith in Jesus Christ is the promise that our reward is in heaven and we will be with Him forever, not in this life but in the one to come.

I've never heard of people being harmed only because they lose faith. It's not Biblical. Everyone goes through trials and tribulations in life, regardless of how strong their faith is. Sometimes those events even pull people closer to God.

That alone should tell you what you said is false. There are many reasons and most are unknown to us. But one thing you can be sure of, when someone comes through tough times in life and still choose to be faithful to God rather than moan and complain, there is great reward spiritually. Those that drop away - well it reveals what's really in their heart.

Because they are just like everyone else. No matter how close to God you are or how much you have faith in Him, your still a human. Nobody's perfect.
