The Bible says to be obedient to your masters. This is in reference to your boss, policeman,government officials which you are under. God is the one who put them in power in the first place. But there are times when we do not have to obey our masters and we should take a stand for Jesus. When the disciples were told to never preach on or use the name of Jesus in their teachings. They disobeyed the instruction because it was a compromise to a belief that had eternal consequences. In other words if your commanding officer told you to commit murder. It would be against God's law to follow that order.

There shouldn't be any excuse not to do what is on the Bible. It's the same as giving an excuse for not doing good deeds for God and humanity. If the Bible is a lie...human life is a lie.

We can come up with as many excuses as there are stars in the Heavens. But the fact of the matter is that God will not accept any excuses, no matter how eloquently given. You either do things His way or you choose to be eternally punished. There are no grey areas and there cerainly is no wiggle room.

We never have an excuse for disobeying the commandments of Christ. Notice verse 20.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

If Christians did what the bible told them to do, women would not be allowed to speak in church.
(1 Cor. 14:33b-36 NIV).
"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?"
Same yesterday, today and forever!

I did before I was saved, I didn't believe in the bible.
But the beauty of God's grace and mercy gives us reasons TO follow the bible, but human nature and self will (which all of us possess even saved) tries to run from it sometimes. I have and at times still do.

Sometimes we have to chose between 2 options. Jesus chose healing over the Sabbath. A person could kill in defense of others. What will do the most good? The law was made for man, not man for the law.

In answer to your question, no. There is never a reason or excuse to disobey or go against the Bible. The Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. All the commands and passages in it are authoritative. There is never ever a reason to go against what it says.

Yeah, rationality.
It's a great excuse to be kind, respectful and logic driven. Rather than dogmatic and obsessive.

Trust the guidance of God's Word...but don't assume because he gave a command to someone that it is your marching orders too.
