dont let the size full you, you need to be firm and CONSISTANT, do not baby the dog, make sure it knows you are alpha, dont let it get by with any bad habits, barking etc...you have to be determined to keep up with the training or you will have a spoiled, ankle biting yapper, if trained correctly they are wonderful, loving, beautiful pets

I have 2 Pomeranians and a yorkie pup and she has learned the house training thing faster than the other 2 have... I would not underestimate them they are smart Little dogs.

I've owned many Yorkies over the last 20 years and yes they are spoiled and hard to train.

I have 3 and they were all housetrained with only a few accidents at 9-10 weeks old. My are not spoiled like so many are I won't treat them like they are dolls they walk on leashes they aren't carried, mine are not dressed up.

From my experience. Yorkie is trickier to train. They are smart all right. Maybe too smart to mind us.

My is 4 and half months now. She now, what she is not supposed to do. But she does to annoy me. She does not bite my husband, but my son and me.

When she wants to play, she goes to my husband.
When she wants to sleep,
Down stair, she will lay next to me.
Up stair, she will go to my son's bed.
When I took out Nutri-cal (vitamin), she hide.

Yes, they indeed are spoiled and stubborn. But, they will settle in time.

P.S. I had two couple years ago.

We had one for 12 years, she leaned what she was supposed to and not supposed to do. It took time, but its all about putting in time and effort. She was a good dog that minded most of the time. Yeah, she had lapses and was sneaky about getting her way, but then again, what dog isn't?

In my experience, with the proper care, they are good dogs. I loved ours very much and was sad when she passed from old age. Just keep working with yours and don't give up on them.
