I have lots and lots of favorites. Here is a fun one...
"Oh, my ears and whiskers! Oh, my fur! Oh, my dear paws! How late it's getting!" ~~Rabbit, Act I, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

I can think of 2 off the top of my head.
1) I cried because I had no shoes, until I saw a child who had no feet.
2) Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe!;
Very nice question, btw. I know I have lots of others, but these are the most memorable at this time.

So many...I love good quotes. Here are some of my favorites.
"Normally we do not so much look at things as overlook them." Alan Watts
"We don't see things as they are. We see things as we are." Anais Nin
"Most human beings have an absolute and infinite capacity for taking things for granted." Aldous Huxley
"It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got." Sheryl Crow
and my favorite: "The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly." Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha)

"There's nothing so injurious to the human condition as running upstairs or running down people."
"Good guys finish last. Only cream and bastards rise to the top!" (Paul Newman said this line in a movie that I think was called Harper.)

Hmm. Most of the quotations I know are rather facetious. Let me try:
"What goes down must come up. Especially if it's a pill"
-Koko from "The Cat Who..." series
"Lilies that fester smell worse than weeds"
-Shakespeare
"Homer no function beer well without."
-Homer Simpson
