My mom thing they might have broke, but how?

Its not a good thing that the Guinea Pigs teeth were very long but since the teeth became short the next day, i think that the Guinea was chewing on the cage so the teeth chipped hurting the Guinea pig. Get a object from the store for Guinea Pigs so the piggy can chew on and your piggy will feel better.! (wood object)

guinea pigs front teeth never stop growing and have to be worn down by every day use. if they get too long the guinea pig can starve to death. they could have broken or the guinea pig chewed on something long enough to wear away part of the teeth. if he's able to eat, don't worry about it.

Rodents have teeth that grow continuously -it is natural for them to break them off or chew them down.
Pet stored even sell special stones for this.
