Sorry, there is no "cure" for chicken pox. In fact, it's getting a little unusual for kids to get them anymore because most are innoculated against it as 1 yr olds. Anyway, warm baths with Aveeno or oatneak in the water- to reduce itching- are soothing. Chamomile or even dried soap on the rash also reduces itching. Mild foods as you eat with any illness- chicken noodle soup, toast, applesauce, soft boiled eggs, and plenty of fluids are best. It's so great that you want to help your mom take care of your sister! A sick kid requires plenty of care! You could read your sister storybooks, color with her, or just sit with her and watch a movie or cartoons! Also, your mom would appreciate help with dishes or tidying up- but I'll bet you do those things already! I think therule is that they cn go to school after all the scabs are dried up- not necessarily gone, but like a dry scab. Check either with your pediatrician or call the school just to make sure. Good Luck!

When you get the chicken pox - you have them there is no cure. All you can do is wait & make you sister more comfortable. YOu can use calamine lotion for the itching or give her a bath with baking soda in it (I believe the instructions are on the box.) You could also try an oatmeal bath such as Aveena to help with the itching.
Chicken pox are most contagious before you even get the blisters & when the blisters are still forming. Once the blisters are scabbed over & she is not getting any new ones she will be fine to to go to school. Generally - blisters appears for a week or less & then another week before they are completely healed.

There is no cure for Chicken Pox. It is a virus and must run it's course. About all that can be done is one of several different types of bathes to help relieve the itching.

The only cure for chicken pox is time. Just try to keep her hydrated and maybe one of those oatmeal baths to help with the itching. As long as she is not running a fever and they have crusted over and not runny she should be able to start to school.

make sure she gets lots of rest and plenty of fluids. I loved tea whenever I was sick, and drank a lot when I had chicken pox years ago. she might not be able to go back the day school starts... I think mine last a little more than a week.
make sure she doesn't scratch! she'll get crater scars (i have a nice one in the middle of my forehead). a nice oatmeal bath will help her to feel better too...will help the itching.

I am no doctor, but I would just keep them hydrated and well rested. Also I sugest oatmeal baths to calm the itching. Also I know this sounds cruel, but realy try to not lett them scratch, because it makes it worse. They will be fine in a few days. But i do sugest keeping any who have not had chicken pox yet away. Good Luck!

There is no cure for the chicken pox so you have to let nature take its course. Cammomille lotion will relieve the itching and so will Piriton or any anti histamine....

no cure. don't let her dig the scabs becuse they'll scar if she digs them. Whatever she wants is what you should feed her. She may have a mild case or one where she gets them everywhere including in her mouth and on her eyes. oatmeal baths(rolled oats in bath water) will help with itching Schools will not allow her to start until a doctor clears her because it is a contagious disease

There aren't foods that will help it go away faster. You can try to soothe her though, with calamine lotion or whatever cream your mom chooses. You should be careful too, as chicken pox are contagious.
