Jesus was a Jewish rabbi. Does that mean that he's going to Hell?
BTW. Jesus was never a Christian, just like his disciples were Jews for the rest of their lives.

Think of it this way
If you took a solid brass sphere as big as the milky way galaxy and once every ten billion years had a sparrow fly past and just barely graze the sphere with the fluffy edge of it's wing... once the entire sphere was completely worn away - eternity wouldnt even have barely begun.
God being such a magnificent being as to be able to manifest all of the Cosmos and bring forth such an extraordinary being as the Master Teacher Known as Jesus
would surely have a better idea in mind than that which is taught by supposedly intelligent preachers based on supposedly inspired men and women
I highly doubt that if we sent out as many spacecraft as wing touches it took to wear away that brass ball
that any exploring spacecraft into any universe or dimension
would ever find a heaven or a hell
that didnt only exist as an individual's sate of mind

Jesus was a Jewish Rabi. Moses and Isiah came and talked with Jesus; so we know some get to heaven. Also There is Jewish religion that broke off from the other, more common one, that dose believe that Jesus is the son of God. They even have a show on TV.
In the book of Matthew 5 Jesus said he was not here to start a new religion but to fix the old one. And requires us to remember and obey all 306 of the Commandments. Are we?
How many Christan's even know that there are 306 Commandments?

This is a simple question with a very deep, long answer. but I won't go into ALL of it here....I'll just keep it simple and say that anyone who doesn't believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and follows Him, will not enter the kingdom of heaven...therefore they will go to hell. Right now, the jewish religion does not believe Jesus is the son of God. Draw your own conclusion.
And for those who are posting that Jesus was a Jew, therefore Jews will go to heaven...that's bad logic. that's equal to saying Jesus was a man, so all men are going to heaven. Or Jesus had long hair, therefore all long haired people are going to heaven. Jesus was a Jew by birth, not religion. The term Jew can mean a religion, as well as it can mean a race of people.

Your husband is correct. Jews are not God's chosen people the nation of Israel is(the 12 tribes of Israel). If you believe that the blood that Christ shed on the cross cleanses you of your sins and ask thru prayer for Jesus to come into your heart then you will be saved and spared from hell.

no I don't think Jews go to hell. please. Jesus was Jewish! Just from that fact alone I think that religions that make blanket statement like that are hypocritical. I think all religions have some basis in fact and could possibly have come from the same source and were just interpreted differently by different people. Everyone should be able to worship in their own way, but why do some feel the need to condemn others? Thous shalt not judge. Those that do are not truly religious and maybe they are the ones who should go below so to speak.

LOL. How Ignorant. Just because you are born into a certain race doesnt damn you to hell.
Everyone has a right to chose what they beleive in.
If you are a jew, and you beleive that Jesus died on the cross for all of your sins, and you have chosen God as your savior, then what makes you think you are going to hell?
Your husband needs to educate himself befor making rash and ignorant statements like he did.
and to comment on DJ moms comment, on how Jews automatically go to heavan, IS ALSO IGNORANT! if a jew is a mruderer and lier, they arent being allowed into heavan. simple as that.
And Allowishus said that the Christian line says that all non-Christians go to hell. NOT TRUE! you need to research before you assume. you dont know what you are talking about.
And one last thing, all humans are sinners. ALL HUMANS. You need to repent your sins, and sin no more. Everyone makes mistakes, you cant pretend you are sorry to God, He knows. He is the almighty, and he will save your soul for eternity if you go through the cross.

God says that all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Jews are sinners just like everyone. Sin means seperation from God and that seperation is a demon's hell. All have to come to Him in faith in repentence to see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus was a Jew and Jesus told him he must be born again. He wasn't saved. Christ came to save the world including the jews and gentiles.

Jews do not go to Hell. Your husband is wrong. Even though Jews do not believe in Jesus, except as a respected prophet, they have their own faith and their own beliefs and their beliefs are just as apt to be correct as your husband's.
There are many religions and they all seem to think theirs is the only way to get to Heaven. They are like a bunch of children fighting over a lollipop.

I hadn't planned on chiming in on this since I'm Jewish, but after Nadine P's answer..well..
You are all forgetting that all religion--even mine--is a matter of faith, not truth. There were no video cameras back then (let's not even get into special effects), so what everyone says is truth is actually belief. You are all free to *believe* whatever you want to. I, of course, believe something totally different than Christians do on this subject. Therefore, 1) preface your statements with "I believe"; and 2) Since none of us knows for sure, just give it a rest.

We don't even believe in hell.
At least you're questioning your husband.
The whole "chosen" thing is blown out of proportion by Jews and gentiles alike, in my opinion. Sure, alright, we were chosen, but there's a midrash (rabbinical tale) that tells us we were G-d's LAST choice. Of course, there's another that tells us that G-d deliberately chose the lowliest of nations to more completely demonstrate His power...
As I understand it, the strict Christian line is that ANYONE who is not Christian is going to hell, not just Jews.
Edit: Me, too: We do not believe Jesus was a prophet. Where did you get that? That sounds like some "Jews for Jesus" nonsense to me.
