Yes, she's in heat. If you take her to the vet now, it will be over immediately. They can spay her today. Even better, if you take them both... I bet they give you a deal for fixing them at the same time!
Otherwise, you are going to have a very miserable 2 weeks in front of you. It's going to next to impossible for you to keep those 2 dogs apart. It's going to be a mess, lots of crying, howling and whining...
Do yourself and your dogs a favor and get them both fixed please?

if her vaginal area is swollen and you notice a discharge that is bloody more than likely she has gone into heat. yes you need to immediatly seperate her from your male. she is too young to be bred and you will be putting her health in jepardy if you allow her to breed now. are you wanting to breed these two dogs? do they conform or exceed show standards? do you plan to have them ofa certified once they are old enough to breed? do you know and understand all of the possible risks and complications with a pregnancy? are your prepared for them? do you have the means to properly take care of the puppies? do you know the possible genetic problems that either parent can pass onto the pups? are you prepared to screen for them before breeding the dogs? and are you planning on temperment testing the parents? if you are not prepared or the dog's are not of good breed conformation, you need to have them spayed and neutered as soon as possible. they will live a much happier, healthier life if you do.

Yes, she's in heat.
Yes, keep the two dogs apart. she's too young to breed.
This will last about 3 weeks.
She'll probably be cranky
consider getting both dogs neutered/spayed. THere are enough unwanted pittbulls out there without producing more.

there's a distinction between commencing fights and being a domestic dog. now's the time to coach her acceptable manners with human beings and with different animals. do no longer play in procedures that have her nipping at you. that's what chunk toys are for. She is enjoying ruff by way of fact she is a canine. enable the older canines prepare her manners, do no longer end them from correcting her in all fairness. Get her into obedience training in case you haven't any longer already signed her up. solid success and that i easily wish you help your canine be the large canine she has the skill to be. to tutor human beings what the "pit bull" incredibly is and may well be.

I would say yes. If you start to see swelling in her genitalia then that means she is. Other wise, it could be a urinary tract infection. Either ways, separate them. If she doesn't have the swelling soon, take her to the vet and have them check for a uti.

She's probably in heat, so yes, separate them. She'll stay in heat for about 3 weeks, and the male should make it harder to contain him. Get them both fixed, please.
