Are you talking about the teens (well and lots of adults) who have Coach purses :)

Have no preference on character clothing.

However, one thing I have noticed, not on brands like Gap, Ralph Lauren, etc. But we got a ton of handmedowns form older cousins. This was a few years before the Old Navys and Targets got popular. The old school brands like Lee and Levis in boys pants, stay up SO MUCH BETTER. So if you're going to use them for more than one kid, go for the brands, not the brands to show off, like Polo, but ones that are made better.

Although who knows, with everything going overseas, the quality may be the same.

My kids wear character clothing, my youngest more so. I don't think there's anything wrong with that if it makes them happy. I won't pay silly prices for clothes just because they have a character on them though, and quite often I get them new from ebay as they are a bit cheaper.

I don't really bother with brand names, I don't see the point in spending so much money, especially for young kids who grow out of things so quickly.

Don't agree with either of them. Children don't know any better and everything that they wear ends up getting dirty/ripped or whatever so whats the point in buying a brand name of clothing for them when you can get cheaper clothes which look just as good nowadays.

I just buy my son whatever I think looks cute lol

I am a big outlet mall shopper. We have a fantastic mall near our place with a carter's outlet, gymboree outlet and an Oshkosh outlet. Most of his clothes come from these stores.

I would NEVER pay full price just to buy him a designer label. It's such a waste of money when he grows out of his clothes after only wearing them like three times lol.

As far as character clothes are concerned...we don't have TV so he doesn't even know who these characters are :) I might buy one if I think it's exceptionally cute (and on sale!) but otherwise I lean more towards polos and blue jeans :)

I always buy BRAND name clothes for my children & myself.
I know they can be expensive here in the UK but i always buy from a supplier so i save alot of money that way. and i know people think if you buy from a supplier you have to get a job lot but that is not at all true.

I am not that keen on the character clothes though, i only tend to but them Pj's with characters on..

Some character clothing is ok. Name brand clothing is fine, my kids wear it, but I have never bought any of it for regular price, I am always looking for deals! I love Old Navy, BabyGap and Gymboree and look for end of the season clearance and get stuff for the following year! I usually find some really great deals and my kids look adorable!

Brand name clothes on kids is a waste of money.
The kids grow so fast. I like the characters on
shirts because it makes kids feel great. I personally believe in off brand clothes. They look
great and is budget friendly.

as long as you arent spending loads of money for a name.....in general I think it's stupid to have to pay $25.00 for a cotton tee-shirt just because there is a name on it like Aeropostal or what-have -you when you can buy the same style shirt that has no name for under $10. It's only a name....
(I'll wear a name brand if it was a gift OR if I got it at a thirft shop or on clearance)

Kids grow so fast that it's useless to spend the money stores ask for for brand names.

The only way I get brand name clothes for my kids is if they're on clearance or I get them second hand. I love BabyGap and Old Navy, but I refuse to pay full price for something they'll grow out of right away. I always head straight for the clearance racks!
