On the first episode of Full House, they cut out the whole diaper-changing scene. I was wondering why they did that...is it because you can see the baby's butt? If that's the case, shouldn't they just have left those few seconds out, instead of the whole scene?

It could have been an accident. I was watching a program on a popular news network, and they were discussing something that wasn't exactly "P.C." (Politically Correct), when, suddenly, a commercial aired just seconds into the story! I thought it was the network trying to prevent potential lawsuits, reprisals, etc, but, about an hour later, they re-ran the story in its entirety, so "accident" seems to fit.

Also, there are some actors and actresses who don't want people seeing them in such poses. The "Full House" babies are now teens, and may have asked their agents to delete potentially embarrassing scenes. Adults do the same thing; I won't mention the show, but, back in the 60's, a "B" level actress was in a very popular comedy show dressed in a very skimpy bikini; when the show started running in syndication years later - - not to mention when video became affordable to the masses - - she made sure that all such scenes were blurred in the "right" places.

However, there have also been instances when "blurring" things didn't work out as intended! During a TV show in which villagers of a war-torn nation were being interviewed, most had their faces blurred to protect them against reprisals by the opposing faction. I happened to record the show. Just after one of "blurred" villagers was interviewed, and just before the scene cut away, I was stunned to see that, in slow motion, you could make out his entire face, clear as a bell! It wasn't noticeable at all during regular viewing; it was just dumb luck that I happened to hit the "pause" button at that moment. That was an inexusable mistake by the show's director, who, potentially, may have cost that person his reputation, if not worse.

So, regardless of what you think of the censored scene, there's little you can do about it, and, for the most part, we can all deal with it!

due to time restraints, episodes have to be edited. example: I brought a couple of drew carey tapes and had taped a couple of episodes as well. I realized that I had purchased and taped the exact episode but there were certain lines and scenes edited out..
