Well, with the scientific and clinical research that I've read about, you can't be doing any harm......and in addirion to the antioxidents and phytonurtients in the tea, you're also helping to hydrate your body, which is paramount in the summer.....I'm on the green tea kick too.......Enjoy!!!

Green tea is very good for you - it's full of antioxidants and helps to speed up your metabolism. However, I'm not sure how great the bottled stuff is. You've got to be careful of how much sugar (and other bad stuff like high fructose corn syrup or aspertame in the diet stuff) is in there, that'll outweigh the benefits. If you really want to drink green tea for health reasons you'd do better by just buying yourself a box of teabags and making it yourself. Bigelow has some pretty good stuff - if you like the flavored kind they're got lots of flavors, too. But if you want to get really fancy (and probably get the most out of the tea) go for Rishi brand loose tea. It's expensive... but worth it!

Hope that helps!

It has anti-oxidants in it, which help slow down the aging process and even serve to fight against cancer. It is also said to increase your metabolic rate (somewhat doubtful). And to help in preventing diabetes.

As for the -bad- effects, well, there aren't any to speak of. 8^) Every once in a while there's an article about some study that showed caffeine to be harmful to laboratory rats in huge quantities. In the days and weeks after this article comes out, there will be a dozen more articles saying that the study was baloney and didn't prove anything, and that caffeine has never been shown to be dangerous or harmful.
