It is customary to do light exercising in the morning, to awake your body and be energetic. If you want to do something serious, like changing your body type, growing muscles, working on problem areas - afternoon.

Exercise whenever you can work it into your schedule.

As a physical education teacher .... I have had occasion to exercise all day long (with short breaks) and then go out dancing at night.

Some people say they like a particular time better than another. I have not found that to be true.

I do better with 2 or 3 short sessions a day.

I usually dance in the morning or evening

I swim around noon because that is when the pool is open for lap swimming and no youngsters.

I walk in the evening in the summer because it is cooler.

I bike on days it is not too windy/hot.

( I do not do all of these on the same day.... try for at least 2 session of 35 to 40 minutes.)
The important thing is to do.... don't stew.

The benefits of exercising on your own schedule will be that you exercise more faithfully.

JUST DO IT!

Neither one is better than the other. It's just when you feel most comfortable and when it fits best into your schedule. If you exercise in the morning, make sure you have a light breakfast beforehand, and then a snack afterwards if it's a while til lunch. If you exercise in the evening, make sure to have a good dinner afterwards. Don't exercise too close to bed time, because it can keep you from sleeping.

I like to exercise way late at night so I sleep better.

But I hear that exercising in the morning helps your blood flow get going (I personally find it just tires me out for the rest of the day).

Late in the afternoon, somewhere around 5pm. In the morning have breakfast, later have lunch and then exercise, that way you'll exercise what you've eaten and keep fit. Also your adrenaline is higher in the afternoon.

I prefer morning, it gets me energized. But for building serious muscle late in the day would probably be better because you have more time to fill up on calories and protien during the day. Since exercising boosts metabolism morning workouts would have a bigger impact on calorie intake the rest if the day.

If you can exercise first thing in the morning its better because when you sleep at night your body is fasting, therefore when you exercise before you break the fast you are burning pure stored fat etc. However, its not going to make a huggee difference if you exercise at night instead - i switch it up.

I find there are two types of exercise. One, like cardio or body building, for morning to get the ol' brain chemistry pumped up for the day... and then yoga or tai chi or stretching at night to get the body and mind really clear and ready for rest. Good luck! Hope this helps!

You burn more calories if you do your exercises or walking first thing in the morning. The oxygen you take in first thing can fuel you for the rest of the day and you will be more upbeat and happier thru your day.

If you wait till night...You will just procrastinate all day long and probably not end up working out at all

exercise in the morning, it refreshes you, gets your heart working, muscles working and you will feel much better in the daytime after exercising, but if you perform strenuous exercises like 300 lbs benching its best to do it in the afternoon

also if you want to build large sculpted muscles drink protein shakes RIGHT after you exercise it works wonders
