It depends on whether or not this person is your boyfriend. My boyfriend and I talk all day. I talk to him while I am at work and while he is at work, we talk in the mornings before work and in the evenings after work, and we talk at night until we both go to bed. We love each other and we can't stand to go too long without talking. If we do go a long time without talking it feels weird and it feels like something is missing when we don't talk.
If you are not with this guy then you might not want to call him too much. I personally do not think that calling a guy twice is too much but some people feel differently. If he calls you, then just pay close attention to the number of times he calls you. That way you can determine whether or not he is the type of guy that likes to talk a lot on the phone. If he doesn't call you often, then you should probably not call him too much because that could make him feel like you are being too clingy. Just pay close attention to his behavior and act accordingly. If all else fails, just ask him. There is nothing wrong with asking him if he likes to talk on the phone a lot or not. What's a relationship without communication?

It depends on the guy. Does he openly talk when you call more than twice a day? If not, then you may want to cut back. Also, if you go from calling him 2 or more times to only 1, he may wonder why and in turn, pay more attention to you.

I think anything over twice a day would be clingy... If it worries you though, call him only once a day...

to some guys it can be but not really if me and my gf are apart we usually call each other three times a day it keeps for a great relationship. it just depends on the guy and how he feels about things

On days I don't see my boyfriend he usually calls during his lunch break, when he gets off work, and usually before going to bed.. mostly to just check in and stuff. And on days I do see him he usually just calls during lunch. EDIT to jessica m- the more love the better!! Once a week? Thats terrible.

Yes, bear in mind that guys never use the phone to "Talk" calling once to "talk" is pushing it.

yes its cliingy unless the two times are like "can you milk on the way home", "bring some beer", etc...
dont call to say i love you more than once a week.
