If you don't have diabetes, uric acid levels or are pregnant (I know you aren't) I suggest you try DRibose. Fibromyalgia is a very complicated problem but one thing we do know about it is the body is unable to complete the cycle involving ATP. ATP is responsible for allowing us to reach a deep enough level of sleep for our bodies to heal the minute tears that happen in our muscles throughout the normal course of daily life. ATP is also involved in on the cellular level in the mitochondria which is the energy center of each cell. That's why we all feel fatigue. Well DRIbose is crucial in these processes. Our bodies are supposed to manufacture it on their own but for whatever reason people with fibromyalgia don't produce enough of it. DRibose is the D in your DNA.
DRibose is a recent discovery for the treatment of fibromyalgia . It helps approximately 69% of the fibro/cfs patients who try it. While its not a cure it does help enough patients to have better quality of life that I urge anyone who doesnt have the above probelms to at least give ita 6 week trial. I have the details on my 360 page for those who wish to learn more. Just look for "D Ribose " headings . I also include links to places where you can find it.

While DRibose isn't the only change that will help you lower your pain levels itis one of the simpler things.

Do you take any pain meds for your Fibro? I also have Fibro and take Roxicodone for my pain and Trazadone for sleep since Fibro can cause some people to suffer from insomnia.
I don't know where you live but, the Doctor that I see and who has helped me with my pain is DR. Sorenson he is at the Tulsa Pain Institute in Tulsa,OK. I have to travel as I live 2 hrs. away. You may have to find a Dr, outside of your area. Your best bet is to go to a DR. that treats chronic pain. I know this isn't much help but it's all I have. I hope you are able to find a DR. that can help you with your pain. There are also alot of Fibro and Chronic Pain support groups on the net just search for them under Fibromyalgia support groups or Chronic Pain support groups you may be able to get some answers there.

I would recommend seeing a Pain Management doctor if you haven't already. Some of them, especially if they are doctors of osteopathic Medicine also offer alternative treatments like massage therapy which I have sometimes found to be helpful for my fibromyalgia if the massage therapist is really good at working with patients who have fibro.

Hi....I was diagnosed with Fibro 5 years ago. It has improved dramatically in the last 2, I must say, but there was a period where I was in pain constantly. The only medication that gave me any relief (besides highly narcotic, addictive meds, which I was afraid to resort to) was Ultracet. I have to say that for me,it was the difference between functioning and laying on the couch. (Which we both know doesnt make it any better). I actually got more relief by pushing myself through my daily routine, not because it didnt hurt, but because sitting didnt improve it, and at least by trying my best to function, it took my mind off of it somewhat. Besides, I refused to give in to it.There were days when I would sit and cry because my NECK would hurt, and MY ELBOWS would throb, but the WORST would have to be the feeling I got in the joints of my pelvis....uh...AWFUL. I would wake up and feel the pain right away. It felt like ( I am an athlete) the first day after training for a sport EVERY DAY.Or like I got hit by a bus, survived without an outward scratch, and was now expected to go teach for 7 hours. One of the worst pains was on both sides of my back.....same spot, both sides...you couldnt even TOUCH it (11points? I had like 20 tender points it seemed!!!) They do not understand Fibro....I did LOTS of homework. All I know is that I took Ultracet as needed..(which for a while was daily) and slowly over time, I noticed my elbows didnt ache so much. Then my back....now its weeks in between symptoms. Some days I notice it more (damp, cold days) in my elbows (both simultaneousy......so weird), but I guess right now I am experiencing a remisson of sorts. I am going to ride it out as long as I can. HANG IN THERE!!!!!! Coincidently, my Fibro pain did not start until after a surgery to by abdomen. I now have severe adhesions(resulting scar tissue) that wrapped around my kidneys and large intestines and impeded their function, requiring two surgeries to rectify. I often wonder if the two are related. I mean, the joint pain, tenderness and general feeling of being unwell that I asscociated with the Fibro also could be linked with my organs not functioning to their correct capacity ( I mean, the organs that were effected in my case are both involved with removing toxins from the body, and I wonder if a build up of toxins in my system could actually BE the Fibro) I am mentioning this because you stated you had a pelvic surgery (as did I). Many people say that their Fibro didnt start until after a surgery. Makes you think.Good luck to you and try to keep your chin up. If you are curious to know more about adhesions and whether or not they could be contributing to your problems, just type in adhesions on Google. It is one of the most common complications of surgery that no one talks about.
