The only 'book' that God wrote
is the entire cosmos along with everything in it and all it's dimensions and universes
Remember when God speaks it happens
so all this happening is the recorded word which means book right?
So just like everyone talks about that other silly book -
God's real book gets talked about also and in the talking concepts comprehended are given names just like your parents gave you a name
so science, mathematics or Quantum Physics is only an agreed upon way to discuss our relationships with the manifestations of The Word
of course invent something, just like that 'other book' and some men gotta rush in and make rules
so of course once the sciences are named, silly school playground bully types rush in and make dogmas called science out of what other people say

Religion is an invention of man. There is no proof that says the Egyptians, Romans, Celts, Sioux, Christians or any other groups religions were/are correct. Science deals in reality and what can be explained and proven now. Religion will never be proven because it was made up by man to explain things that couldn't be explained any other way. Religion was and still is man's worst creation ever, thanks religion for killing billions of people over thousands upon thousands of years :)

Science and religion were both created by people seeking answers (or reasons for why things happen). If I lived 10,000 years ago in a very different world than today, I would probably do what most of my tribe did: if they had theistic answers to certain things that happened in life, then I would as well. Furthermore, I would probably search for more answers in life along those same lines (theism).
If my tribe pursued some sort of scientific method for explaining certain things, then I would probably continue to pursue those types of answer to life's questions.
But without out a doubt (imho), the people who first started using "science" or "theistic" beliefs to explain their world, did so to find answers to make the world make more sense to them.
Theistic beliefs came along probably way before an official science because we already had parent/child relationships. It would make perfect sense to think there was an all knowing "parent(s)" somewhere who punished (food is difficult to find for example) us or gave us gifts (food is plentiful for example) based on our behavior. That was the birth of religion.
As agricultural technology progressed and tribes spent less time working to feed themselves, tribe's-people had more time to think about other things. BAM! DIffering opinions from the tribe were born and probably the type of thinking that would eventually spawn scientific thinking.
Therefore, the original question is irrelevant. ;-) We all believe what we believe because it is our way of making sense of the world. Who is right? Who cares?!?!

lol You're funny. Honey Sciences does prove their is a God. N God likes people that are intelligent. I dont understand why you would put down science and want people to be ignorant. Thats one of the most retarted things i've heard. but anyways!!!
Read "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" It's really good. actually its one of the hottest books I've read.

Well God created man to be curious, inventive, imaginative and intelligent as well. The first "job" God gave man was to be a zoologist. Its sad though that man has taken these gifts unique to man and have abused and perverted them to the point of making science their God.

So you are incorrectly assuming that science contradicts the written word of God. It does not!!! It re-affirms the truths written in the Bible. Google "Walt Brown", Perry Marshall, Hugh Ross, creationscience.org, Since science is the search for truth and the Bible contains truth one can logically deduce that they don't conflict.
Stop believing the lies of the Atheists. They steal the truth and twist it for their own ends. Beware of them for their way is that of half truths, self-centeredness, and unbridled hatred.

People wanted health and cell phones, so truth became an important thing. Science honed in on truth at the expense of fantasy. Luckily, theists worldwide have compromised by utilizing the benefits of technology while ignoring the complexities of reality.

God created science. Everything - Everything - in His creation matches with science. If you think you see something that does not match with science, you haven't learned enough, yet. Keep on studying. You will discover the scinece that will match with His creation.
