Seriously.
What. The. Flip.
Why do *some* religious people quote the bible justifying their hate (*oxymoron*) for gays, but neglect that part where any child who disobeys their parent(s) is worthy of death?
Because the Bible says it's okay, why don't we all kill anyone who cuts off the sides of their beard, plants crops out of season, or wears two kinds of fabric at one time?
And while we're at it, if one of our friends die without children, why don't we sleep with their wife?

To god bless the pope: I mean the people who *actually* hate gays. Not the people who just say it's sinful

The Bible should never be used to justify hate. While the Leviticus does state that if a man lies with another man as one lies with a woman it is an abomination, nowhere does the Bible command us to hate gay people. Love your neighbor and love the stranger are both in the Bible. In fact, love the stranger is stated more times than any other command in the Bible.
As to the other points....
Disobedient child... reference is Deut 21:18-21. Read it carefully, there are a lot of qualifications that have to be satisfied. There's no record that this penalty was ever carried out.
Cutting off the sides of their beards, planting crops out of season and wearing two kinds of fabric at the same time are NOT capital offenses.
Sleeping with the wife of a friend who died without children is also not commanded in Scripture. You have this confused with levirate marriage. Levirate marriage dealt with the case of a man who died childless and that man's BROTHER was to marry the widow and have children so that his brother's name would not be lost. This law has fallen by the wayside and is no longer carried out. Also, there's a provision in Scripture that if a man doesn't want to do this, he doesn't have to. Deut 25:5-10.

Unfortunately we have so many that claim to be what ever religion, but just use it to justify their actions. Religion is not what makes a person good, or bad. It's the person themselves. You can have a non believer that does everything they can to help the more needy, visits the hospitals, takes care of the sick, yet they will be judged. I knew a gay couple that adopted kids with aids, they religiously got their medical needs met. The reason they would adopt them was because most would not. Why? Fear is the answer. Most people are afraid of what they don't know, or understand, so what do they do? Use religion to make their negative actions ok. Hopefully one day people will use religion in a positive manner that truly makes them happy, and not in the negative manner it has been used for so many years. Kinda avoids the whole point of the story to begin with.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say God hates gay people. (If it does, please show me the scripture.) The verse you refer to says "Do not practice homosexuality." Nor do Christians hate gay people. So please don't put things in the Bible that aren't there. But God does consider homosexuality a sin. (1 Cor. 6:9-10) But we all sin in one way or another, even Christians, esp. me. That doesn't mean we hate each other either. We also ask for the forgiveness of our sins and try to live the way Jesus taught.
And why do only refer to the Old Testament? When Jesus came and died for us, he fulfilled the Old Law, and we now live under the New Law (i.e., the New Testament). So we don't follow any of those other laws either.
EDIT: Oh, my bad! I apologize; I misread the question. Well I don't hate gay people or even dislike them. True Christians shouldn't hate anyone. But I also don't agree with their choice to be gay. I consider that a sin, but as I stated above, everyone sins, including myself. I don't consider their sins any better or worse than mine. The only thing I hate is twisting the Christians' disapproval of homosexuality into hate.

Ok so I have a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig super issue with religious people. I am christian but usually my biggest problem is christian so I totally feel you.
I do have gay friends and I will always love them. It is wrong to be gay but that doesnt justify to hate. How can I judge if I'm a mighty good sinner. There has to be a super balance in this thing we called life.
n I swear if Jesus were here he wouldnt hate on a gay person. =] maybe would disagree but wouldnt throw the stone.

Because that is not the only place it is in the bible. Because of the demons whole nations have become corrupt.
romans 1:24 Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
Then there was Sodom and Gamorrah:
Genesis 18:20 the account starts and Judges 19

The Leviticus laws were given to the Israelites. Not us. However, we are under God's grace when we choose to follow Jesus and because we love God, we do the things that God tells us to do because we love Him and other people.
Romans 1:26-27: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."
Any sexual act outside of marriage is fornication.

The soft-shoe routine here goes like this.
Most of those laws were for the Jews, not us. That was the "old covenant." But since Paul and his ilk repeated that gayness was an abomination, then that particular aspect of it got renewed with the "new covenant." (Never mind that Jesus is reputed to have stated that he hadn't come to "change the law.")
In other words, much of what passes for "theology" is really not much more than cherry-picking, or "spin."

You have no right to kill anyone. You have no right to judge others, but you yourself are condemned by God. Whether you like it or not. Christians must not hate anyone including gays. Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent the Lord detests them both. e can not acquit the guilty. It is not Christians, but God judges gays. All claims to God Himself.

Unfortunately, Biblical gay bashing extends into the new testament as well. Paul condemns gay behavior in Romans as well.
