I hate to sound like an athiest but; the bible was written but a bunch of guys who wanted to control the uneducated and weak with a thing like religon and have been doing it ever since. The bible was of course written by man and man is fallible. Fear and the unknown have made religion the number one killer of humanity. look at the middle east today and look back at it's history. 99% of all wars were started by religion of some sort and it still happens today. why on earth would someone believe in god or even try to reason his existance other than trying to dispell it. I think that people in general have to relate science to god because they cannot explain it on an educated level and people who are creationist can not accept the fact that evolution made the universe and not some god that they have never seen.

People believe in God because they want to. That's basically what it boils down to.

The existence of God can never be scientifically proven. You can't scientifically prove that ANY person ,Julius Caesar for example, exists or has ever existed. You can historically prove it though, and that is what the Bible is. It is the history of God (One God in particular, YHWH ) and the history of his relationship with us. There is more historical proof for the existence of Jesus Christ than any other person, ever. You can't tell me my mother doesn't exist. I would laugh in your face. I know her. It is the same with my God.
Here is what the Bible says on the subject of creation/evolution:
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:24, 25
As you can see evolution and the Bible in no way contradict each other. People can believe in the evolutionary theory and that God created everything. My God is so great. He thinks of everything!

Why do people believe in an invisible thing like love? Because you can just feel it! Kinda like God!
Hate to tell you but lots of wars through out history were started by love as well. Doesn't make it a bad thing, just a personal thing.

People beleive in God for two reasons (maybe more). 1.) It satisfies the want for knowing the existence of living matter. 2.) It gives purpose and reward for living a life other cognizant beings would commend. Any community will have rules and protocols for how to behave. But leaving out a higher understanding for striving leaves little reason for continuing to do so, other than to say that is what matter does.

Because He comes through on His promises. In John 16 Jesus promised the Holy Spirit. And I am here to tell you that he delivered on His promise. The Holy Spirit works because "He speaks only of what He hears."
So I gave you an answer as to why people believe, because God chooses who He gives proof to, and it's a personal truth. It may not be for you and you may not ever understand it. But Jesus told me about people like that too.
So once again, you are talked about in the Bible. In your ending, you will either be in His grace, or you will not believe any of what I just said.

The presence of God is everywhere to be found.The human soul is God or what we can call the 'higher self'We all have a spark of divinity within the depths of our being and will one day become Masters of Wisdom on other man bearing globes through out the universe .Mankind is slowly awakening up to the fact of his inner divinity and will one day manifest our higher self on this planet.Each and every one of us are emerging Gods with a glorious future ahead of us all .
