I have a 2001 Ford Escape with the Mach Sound System, and the sound system in your truck should be the same.

Obvious answer: Turn up the bass on your head unit (like I said, obvious answer)

Not so obvious answer: Take off the panel that's covering the subwoofer. There should be 1 or 2 knobs on the amp, depending on the setup of your sub. If you have just one knob, that's the volume control. If you have 2 knobs, one is volume and the other one should be un-labeled (I haven't touched this one, I don't know what it does). I would also check the connections of the sub to the amp to make sure that the connection hasn't come undone, or a wire hasn't come loose.

If you really wanna start taking your truck apart answer: If that still doesn't work, I would take the head unit out and make sure that the wires for the subs are still connected. They have a tendency to fall out. (If they're not apart of the wire harness, they should be on a grey wire harness with four white wires)

There may be a problem with the system. The subwoofer may have been blown or a wire may have been knocked off. It is possible that the BASS setting on the radio is turned down. Go in through the menu and up the bass setting.

The truck should be under warranty, so you can take it in to the dealer if you are not satisfied with the results of turning up the bass did.

If all this fails, let me know and I'll give you the name of an audio guy on answers. He should be able to get you where you need to be with the stereo. good luck.

You did no longer point out if the truck became right into a 4 wheel stress or no longer. Wheel bearings could be my first wager, yet 4 wheel stress automobiles could have a U-joint subject to boot as a bearing going out interior the front differential.
